There's option for Lena to (try to) dominate Ian during sex in recent update and this is tracked by one of game's variables. So there's a possibility such development will continue.

When something is put on one side of the scale something of similar mass is often placed on opposite side of the scale. I'm talking in terms of the characters.
Ian is a perfect counter balance for Lena. (Flexible Protagonist to be molded any way you want.)
Axel is a perfect counter balance for Cindy. (Attractive Blonde Model that is unfaithful)
Mike is a perfect counter balance for Emma. (Hot & Horny Hispanic)
Jeremy is a perfect balance for Ivy. (The somewhat sketchy friend, that is a bad influence, but tries to get you laid.)
Jeremy is somewhat a balance for Cherry. (Token black friend)

We will add shyness, and awkwardness and nerdiness. We will make them intelligent, and lonely. We will make it so they wish they had more friends, but they dont' have many. We will make them sexually inexperienced relative to the other characters. We will give them social anxiety. We will make them good at what they do work wise. We will add a little bit of artistic creativity to them (be it taking photos or writing stories). We will make it so they have been hurt in the past.

Not a slob with zero positive traits. Heck, he isn't even ugly in a Arthur way where fucking a gross dude is the point.

This is where I have to disagree about Holly and Stan. Holly develops as a character and can step out of her comfort zone in many ways:
-Through Ivy's corruption
-Becoming more comfortable with Ian's influence.
-The same thing, only on the route with the “good” Lena.
Stan, meanwhile, remained as disgusting as he was.
All Stan needs to do is:
1) Hit the gym
2) Get a new haircut
3) Grow a little facial hair, and keep it neatly trimmed.
4) Get a better wardrobe
The guy has really bad depression though. You gotta remember, he lives with Louise who is horrible to him, and destroys his spirit.
Then you gotta factor in Lena, a source of constant blue balls for him. Stan walks past her door, and peeks in to see her getting railed by some dude.
Stan wasn't meant to be an Arthur template. That is Seymour. Rich perverted older dude.
Stan is a Bernard template, but instead of being Ashley's dad he is a room mate of Lena.
The scene where Bernard spies on Ashley masturbating feels very similar to the one where Stan is watching Lena get anal fucked.

I get deconstructing the characters and identifyng when and how they are foils to compliment each other, but Holly is a intregal semi main character connecting Ian and Lena further, she is interwoven on both of their career and artist paths. Stan is a Lena exclusive side character who plot relevance is abysmal and mostly optional: Lena can ignore him and he removes himself from the story mostly.
