I think people are too quick to judge "Stan update". While it's true that not all or maybe even most people don't like the character at least it can have variations that can be interesting as opposed to Seymour route which wasn't that varied. Let's see what variations Stan update could have in my opinion:
- Stan improvement motivated by Lena (maybe he starts training where Ian trains)
- Stan pursuing photography more seriously (maybe he works with Danny or other photographers as intern, could have various models we already know in the game)
- To continue from above, maybe he somehow ends up helping Seymour behind the scenes (especially if Lena has been reluctant to join him thus far)
- Stan and Holly friendship (or Stan and Holly relationship)
- Stan and Louise conflict (hate sex on horizon)
- Stan throwing out 2 bums living with him (Lena and Louise change of living place could have many variations)
- Stan submitting to either Lena or Louise (multiple kinky possibilities here)
- Stan going full creep mode trying to sabotage relationships or doing something even more sinister
- Stan offing himself (not sure if you can put that in games nowadays, but it would certainly be very grim turn of events)
- Stan vs Perry trial by combat for Emma (unlikely, but wouldn't that be quite a show)

And these are just some things I just now cooked up in my loony brain, I'm sure someone as talented as Eva Kiss could make this seemingly unappealing "Stan update" be enjoyable. My main point is let's not be too sad about it while we don't even know if that's the case.

Considering what she did with Seymour (vanilla unlike expectations), don't imagine too many extraordinary things happening with Stan

Hi everyone; I got back from my trip a couple of days ago, ready to dive into writing the chapter. Out of the 11 planned scenes (including their variations), I’ve completed 6, and their illustrations are already finished and with the colorists. Over the next few days, I’ll focus on continuing the writing and finalizing the illustrations as they come in.

I hope I can have everything ready to release the Alpha at the end of December; let's see if I'm able to do it! Also, I still have to release the polished, full version of v13.1 with additional, small fixes, and an overhauled Gallery thanks to Lara. That's also coming soon, and it will also be released on

Seymour ended up disappointing, the Stan romance is going nowhere, either. Last time they kissed and Stan promised to get in shape. Seems like he isn't, so what are they gonna talk about? Another makeout session? Discussing Stans precious feelings? Lena magically falling in love for him because...why would she? 12 chapters in and there is no reason why Lena could be interested in him, Stan has no redeemable quality. No wits, no hobbies, no charme. You can have physically worthless characters if they compensate it with a lot of personality. Stan doesn't.

Best scene was him jacking off to her, its the only relationship thats both plausible and engaging in a porn game. But this seems to be a one trick pony until now.

I am not a big fan of Stan but I can see reasons why some may like him. He might be just the kind of guy some of us were or even still are, playing adult games and wanking much too often thinking about those naughty girls. So some may identify with him . Think about it!

I don't like him but the game shows us a variety of different chars and that might be something we all like about Our Red String. I like Ian, a writer - artist of sorts - and a fighter. I wish him luck trying to tame that wild horse Lena or beeing her cuck.
