Dev needed a character for the female protagonist to have sex with earlier on, this is a porn game after all. Since it's not as direct to the sex as GGGB, Lena would have to wait until she gets to know Ian to sleep with him and that can take a little while. It's the same with Alison/Cherry from Ian's perspective: if he doesn't get with either of them, he/the player has to wait longer for the first sex scene. As to why Eva decided to make Robert such an obnoxious douchebag, beats me. You could argue that it's to spark conflict between the protagonist and another guy who was/is fucking the female MC, but that already happens with Axel, plus said conflict could easily happen without Robert being an annoying asshole. But then again, the only remotely decent dating option for Lena in this game is good guy Ian, everyone else is either a playboy, a douche, or an incel.

My dream Lena would cuck Emma and steal Perry from her just for the power trip, maybe to put her in her place if Lena has assimilated Seymours philosophy.

Presently no and most likely not in the future. No indication of Axel redeeming himself and becoming a nice boyfriend, one scene with him and Ian bonding was even replaced. Though we don't know how and if his route diverges, so maybe he can become less of an ass? There may be a distinction of Lena's love and lust choices. I wouldn't bet on it.

Alright thanks. Another question then - is there a point where you have to stop showing interest in him before Lena becomes unable to stop a "relationship" with him?

There's multiple points where Lena has opportunity to stop herself from falling under Axel's influence. The most recent opportunity for it is currently in Ch.12.

(mind you, this means a period of time during which Lena does engage in activities with Axel. If you don't want this to happen at all, she needs to put her foot down and stick to it quite sooner)

Because the update image is cropped? It's probably just because Eva doesn't want to share the enticing lewdness, but given his deep glance somewhere under Lena it could be that there's another individual he's looking at tenderly.

Or perhaps it's a tablet with a live Forsen stream, he wouldn't miss that just because Lena has nothing better to do.
