You don't engage with a 3some girl outside of the setting. It's an unspoken rule. If you engage, then it's straight-up cheating. 3some happens if both partners agree to it; if one is missing, it's not consensual to the other.

This comes up in certain conditions:

this is the correct way to do a threesome where one of the partners scouts. You get permission first so it isn’t cheating. If you sleep with the person and then bring up doing it for a threesome it is just cheating.

Now if you have an agreement to have one of the partners scout and you give them free range it is not a problem but that is usually quite rare. Usually you have both partners approach the person and invite them so it is less grey area.

Okay.....then same can also be done from Ian POV no? Lets say Ivy and Ian are getting closer to fuck, Ian texts Lena the same things before he fucks her, since that would be an exception to the agreement as well. And lena should feel comfortable with it since,

It's one of two things...

a) It's not cheating because bisexual sex doesn't count.
b) It's not cheating because it isn't real sex if it doesn't involve a cock going into a pussy or ass.

Neither is correct but both are amazingly prevalent notions. I know a lesbian woman who is *constantly* at it but if she goes to a doctor to talk about her reproductive health, her doctor puts her down as a virgin because she's never fucked a guy.

Cheating is done when you sleep with someone your partner doesn't want you to. For most people that means anyone that's not your partner. In open relationships it's not cheating to sleep around, but would be cheating if your partner said not to sleep with someone specific and you still did. For certain couples, both fictional and in real life, it's not cheating if the woman sleeps with other women. From both Ian and Lena's perspective, it's not a big deal for Lena to sleep with Louise. That doesn't give Ian the right to sleep with Louise, threesome or not, the code of ethics dictates no sleeping with someone your girlfriend doesn't want you sleeping with, in Lena's case and most 99% of other women, that means all women. If Ian doesn't like these rules, he shouldn't be in a romantic relationship.

That's because those couples(guy and a girl)don't see women as threat if a woman is bisexual. You are right though, for 99% other women are threat when they are in a heterosexual relationship, just like for guys other men are threat in heterosexual relationship.

When did Lena specifically say Ian should not sleep with louise solo? That's the point. It is not even mentioned, its presumed. Just like Lena asking for Ian's permission to fuck Ivy, the same thing can also happen in case of Ian. That's the point which i was discussing. You can read it a few posts above.
