Although it seems that if you're on their routes they do shape up a bit. Damn near all the LIs for both mcs have some sort of red flag to various degrees. I think this was done by Eva to try and push the playes to have Lena get with Ian.

I think it is possible to salvage their relationship. Have wade_cindy variable atleast 2 and i dont think cindy is over wade in that case, and they will get back together after their "Break".
