After playing the update.
Seymour's contract plus the fact he is likely blacklisting Lena from other art jobs makes his red flag even bigger this time. Will be keeping Lena very far away from him, same to Axel and his manipulative BS (Ivy dropped the ball here with her friend).

Ian got a nice advance with Alison. Treat her as more than a side fuck and she herself won't be interested in helping Jeremy achieve his dream of doing some frottage with Ian using her as excuse.

Seriously Ian again got the best of both worlds here with his progression with Alisson (and even Cindy) while Lena was just corruption routes in this update.

These phone camera scenes are awful lol. Especially when Ian starts jerking off to it. Like cool, jerk off to it, but I don't need to see the the dick take up more screen than the actual scene lol. I don't understand why it can't just start as a camera scene and go into a real scene. Seems like at this point the only actual scenes we're getting are the ones involving lena and ian. The cast is great, characters look great, but it's a bit wasted if they're chained to the 2 MCs

I've subbed $20 for a few of the releases and was subbed $5 for a while until the price went up. Maybe i'll resubscribe to give feedback.

First playthrough was nice though, the update itself was great.

The thing here is that people like Seymour really exist. And they are not that rare. Sociopaths and psychopaths who manipulate others in order to get what they want are flourishing in our society.
As for the obsessed stalker, yes they do exist. But they are harmless 99,99% of the time. Yes he takes pictures of her (which she agreed to actually) and faps to them and he peeps on her but that would be the limit of the obsession with most stalkers. The crazy axe murderer theme is something that happens only in movies. Also you see those anime posters on the walls in his room? You can be 100% certain he fantasizes about being a heroic protaq in his own story and Lena serves as the female sidekick or trophy in those fantasies. Now one might feel strongly or not about being subject to fantasy in such a manner but it's a long way off the real life manipulation of people like Seymour.

Anime posters are probably evidence he's harmless, you don't grow up on Anime without being fed constant themes of friendship, morality, and the like. A lot of what he does is stuff that he doesn't think would do any harm, even if it's messed, but who knows maybe his repressed desires will get the better of him one day.

General feelings on Chapter 9:

Plothole, inconsistency and quality-wise, this was a much better update than Chapter 8, IMO. Regardless of the fact that I didn't get any of the scenes I was looking for, I think Eva did a much better job in this chapter. It felt like we were railroaded into quite a few more decisions in this one too, but that's understandable given the unmanageable mess the paths would become (well... have become) with Eva's current resources if she doesn't start setting more limits. I don't think I'll be getting any of the specific paths I was looking for when all is said and done, but I'd rather Eva release a quality game than cater to specific interests, including my own. Even if that means I won't be salivating for future updates. Basically, I played two-handed the whole time.

I am also playing with Final saves that are a few chapters old though, so a few of these may be solved with a completely new play-through or only pop in certain scenarios (like outfits bought and cash available in the shopping bug).

Some of my older saves are like that too, I'm gonna need to do new saves for every character anyway.
You are gonna need a wt for it anyway so it's pretty much better to wait until the game is fully done and just have 1 or 2 saves that you use. For now and forget the rest.
Very many of the characters block each other if you are on their routes, which sucks. I've missed quite a few scenes already.
I've got over 22 pages of saves already. I don't remember which saves are for what since I did not realize i could name them for the longest time.

Honestly? No it's not. Will it be worth playing when it's done 100% I trust that this will be one of the best games when it's done.
There has been a few missed opportunities so far with characters that could have joined in some scenes, done more etc etc.
the most notable one being the park scene in this update. I would have loved to see that stranger join in in some capacity.
Or maybe it wasn't a stranger at all.

I loved everything about this update! So much to fucking say but I'm absolutely hyped for the next releases and how hot and interesting this can get! Ok, so first things first I wanna share a theory I have. What if....Alison actually knows Jeremy is filming these videos and sharing it to Ian? We know Alison is so desperate for Ian to like her, so what if Jeremy told her about Ian having a thing for watching her get fucked and decides it'd be a good thing for Jeremy to film it for Ian to watch? Just a though, anyway, on the flip side of that the outing with her and Ian was hot and surprisingly pretty wholesome. Also....the thing about her agreeing to a threesome is super exciting. I know the option for anal didn't go to well with her but ya know that's just the testing grounds. One day Ian will be able to fuck her ass and maybe she even gets dp'd. Now, probably my favorite character, Cindy. The forbidden fruit. I'm not too sure if Axel actually was trying to make a move on her in front of Ian or what but that hardly matters considering we finally had the watershed moment between two. Both options being incredibly intriguing. Telling her to continue cheating or telling her to break up with Wade and be with Ian instead. My lord the anticipation of what's to follow with that is so high. All I know is that if she decides to leave Wade he is going to go ballistic. There was a nice tender moment with Cherry as well that I really liked. It seems Axel has like some sort of spell that catches every woman he meets lmao. Now for Lena's side. The scene with her and Ian in the park went in a slightly different direction than I thought. For one, I figured they were gonna go to her place. Then this voyeur comes and watches and Lena is 100% fine with him watching! Almost blew my load there. Then Axel....oh boy. I feel many will be put off by this and Seymour's scenes. But we get to see just how easily Lena can slip into the submissive role without a second thought. The Axel scene went about as expected. He takes charge immediately and doms her. I don't believe for a second he was genuine about the "closure" he talked about after the sex scene. Seems just more mind games being played on Lena. I also believe Ivy 100% set that up and purposefully didn't show. Perhaps in exchange for getting in contact with Wildcats Axel had her set things up with Lena? Now to talk about Seymour's scene. Firstly, I liked it. However, that whole spiel about the "model" and "artist" is an extremely paper thin rationality for the fact he's a pervert. It's interesting though because he doesn't seem to be the kind of pervert that falls in line with the trope of characters like him. Instead of doing the fucking and getting down to it, he seems to like to watch. To have a much subtler control over the people he desires. I also wanna quickly mention Holly. Holy shit, Ivy is working her magic! Holly sending pics to this Mark guy? Kissing Ivy on demand? I'm totally loving this direction and can't wait to see her final evolution. I cannot say about HollyxIan yet as it's almost midnight and I'm super tired but tomorrow I will for sure play that route. Sorry for long post but I feel this update warranted it. Amazing update and my hype for the next one is as high as ever. Great work Eva!

Appreciate your thorough review, John Doe Jr. . But for the more visual learners out there, would you mind creating a timeline of exactly at what points you blew your load in Chapter 9? (Kind of like how they show in the history books, dated timeline and a line drawn up with text signifying specific events. I can add a History Channel style voiceover and a festive frontier-era soundtrack to make it feel more alive/interactive).

Yeah. I've labeled all of my final saves from previous chapters and I'm doing A-Abreviations-of-scenarios text for temp Alpha saves. I'm just going to wait till the final is released, since my final saves from previous chapters may prove to be no issue with the Ch 9 final.

Nah, i just think it's some normal alpha stage fuckery, that's why they say you shouldn't overwrite your saves with alpha versions, all types of weird shit going on.

Well, I personally thought Billy's slide was a bit too short. But I think Eva intentionally designed him that way due to prior complaints about stereotypes.
