Agree. He is perceived as a negative character. I do not understand why it should be altered, "because part of the audience wants it this way". Eva follows the lead of a group of crying fans, delaying development. She herself admitted that she doesn't like Stan.

It just makes me wonder, is anyone truly interested in a bona fide 'healthy romance' with Stan? Of course we want a healthy romance for Lena, but considering the meager pickings in that regard in her storyline, you'd think Eva could make the alternative to Ian (aka. the only other healthy choice) a bit more appealing rather then just reworking Stan.
And it makes me wonder whether Stan fans would even like Stan when he looses the pervy, simp traits that he's associated with right now? He's not exactly going to be the same character they like anymore.
If the point is to have a nerdy or polar-opposite-to-Axel choice, you could just as easily use Perry to fulfill that role. That way you could free up Stan's position in the game for a whole new male character who's easy on the eyes and a 'healthy' option.

I think for Stan, the process will be a more in-depth version of Robert's re-write from early on in game development. Robert used to be really unlikable. Now while he's still a douche, I could see someone like Lena giving him a shot if the situation was right. Even if I usually don't have Lena do that. For Stan, besides dialogue re-writes like with Robert, some scenes will probably be removed or changed, and some variables changed/added/dropped.

It reminds me of Robert. He also was 'rewritten' to become a 'good option for Lena' and we all know how that turned out. So I am worried about this. It is very hard to imagine them in an equal relationship, Lena is just so much more attractive than him she is basically a different species. Lena has a lot of options and, as this is still a porn game, is supposed to use them. Ian can be OK with that because he has options too, but Stan? How is he ever going to be able to handle this? And Lena disregard all other temptations to be with Stan... now where would be the fun in that?

here you can see that Ivy's upper half isn't traced at all.I didn't get such a feeling from the post, for me it felt like Eva herself was unhappy with Stan and decided to change him, not bacause some fans wanted him changed. I think most were fine with the way Stan was portrayed.
I like to get to know them as a person first. Give them a good handshake and check their background. If they give a bad handshake or don't look you in the eye, I just don't do it. Red flags for me.
Edit: Just noticed you said "can't". Nicknames. If they add a "ster" or an "arino" to the end of your name, it's a line too far. Don't cross it.

Yeah, I think some people forget that Eva Kiss isn't as gullible as they think she is. If she's certain about doing a particular thing, she will, regardless if it causes an outrage. People following this thread long enough remember at least a couple of such instances. Yes, sometimes, she can see the critique when it really has merit and then she might adjust some things so the narrative and characters feel more consistent. But if the complaints are purely taste-based, then she would always choose to do the thing SHE likes instead, even if it means losing some fans. Considering Robert still has a fully-fledged route and consistently gets new scenes, some with exciting premise, means that Eva still enjoys writing for him, even if he only has 1.5 fans. If she adjusted her game every time to please all of her fans, Robert's route would just get scrapped and be ended prematurely because objectively it's the waste of time and resources. But it's Eva's game, and she will do anything to improve it for herself first and foremost. No other person can influence her development process, at least not enough to make her revisit all 9 chapters.
I got say, that from a writer's view point Robert is a brilliant character and I totally understand why Eva not only enjoy's writing him, but how it would be a complete waste to quickly toss him aside. He's not a character that's meant to be liked, but the amount of nuances needed to get him to be unlikeble, but at the same time show that all of that is rooted in his own insecurities, making not exactly a villain but just some douche that actually feels real... That's not easy, not easy at all. My hat's off to her!

I'd say we will be getting v0.9 revised before v.10 since Eva did make a post about making a definitive version of the game's current chapters.
She will be revisiting past scenes and changing them, sometimes even redrawing a scene completely. Also Stan will be getting a overhaul which I assume is more nuanced than anything she has ever changed so far. So my guess is chapter 10 will be pushed back even further.
That doesn't add up. In order for it to be .10, version 9 should've been .09 and not 0.90. I think it's 1.0 and it will continue untill 2.0. Apparently Eva said after 10th chapter, there will be a timeskip or something so it makes sense v2.0 will be different from v1.0
