Regarding Stan, I don't understand why he has to be likeable? He's a creep (looks like a harmless creep) and that's that.

Funny thing is, you are 100% right about everything. Stan, Jeremy, Perry, Axel, all of the characters here are made to fulfill certain roles/fetishes. Perry is there to be cucked by Ian, Jeremy is there to cuck Ian (and BBC fetish), Axel is Mr. Steal Your Girl, and so on. But for whatever reason a big part of the player-base are drawn towards Stan, thinking his role will be something it's not destined to be. He is obviously the loser who will watch Lena have sex with other men, he even already did it.

Think overall the rework was a fkn waste in the tradeoff of not getting a chapter or maybe even two in the same timeframe. Also Stan is still creepy asf in my books. Cindy Lena and Allison are based though

I just hope she's not overwhelming herself with all the different story arcs, burying herself in a workload unmanageable for a single developer. Because that wouldn't end well in the long run, and the current development time for a single chapter doesn't look too good in regards to the workload on her shoulders. I'm hoping for the best as this is still one of my favourite VN's out there.

Honestly I'd be more surprised if they don't hit a brick wall and get overwhelmed at some point. It's thousands of words, sex scenes, sketches, variables, plot and then making sure it all works. A VN like this is seriously arduous and time consuming to make it's a lot of work for one person. It's going to take a shit ton of work to finish something that has this many choices and characters with the variants, switches and variables to manage because of it. Hope I am completely wrong but I would not be surprised if the scope of it gets scaled back or the dev simply walks away because it's too much.

Unfortunately, I see this very similarly and fear that the limit of what is feasible for them has already been exceeded.

I have no idea if Eva works alone on the project or how much time she can work on the game per week.
Presumably, like many other developers, she will have to work a regular job to make a living.

I have been working in software development for 20 years and know only too well how quickly a project can overwhelm you.

No, we wouldn't, because Eva would be still stuck with the writer's block. And everyone would still complain why it's taking so long to release new chapters, and those who blame Eva for milking would have a solid evidence to support their claim. Don't you see? The rework was necessary for the game to progress. Maybe it doesn't feel all that important for the player, but it was important for Eva to get the mojo back.

Well, the two hymns for Stan would be "Slade - My Friend Stan" and "Lambretta - Creep" (with the text changed to male since singer Linda Sundblad logically had the female text version)
Actually I think even the new version of Stan can be good if inserted with care. Looking forward to play chapter 10, whenever it finally comes out!

Funny thing is, I noticed she keeps releasing the "Weekly Updates" every 8-9 days (if not more) instead of 7. We are currently waiting for "Week 9" update but considering how many extra days there are it should be more like "Week 11"

IMO the one thing that i think what makes ORS progress kinda slow is that Eva doesnt really trust hiring other people to work on some part of the game, like she doesnt really trust people to fully work on drawing and choose to done it herself, based on the complexity of the game, its really hard just to write the story of the game, but Eva combined it with Coding and drawing by herself, so yeah if she focused on too many things, its always require more time than just focusing on other thing...

At the same time i kinda get it, on why Eva doesnt really trust other people to work on some part of the game, on Art aspect, her game has that kind of uniqueness in its Art, so she scared that other artist cant deliver that uniquenes the same as she delivers it, the story aspect is the same, maybe if its not Eva, we wont ever get porn game in this kind of complexity, and if she give this story part to other people in mid developing, she doesnt sure if the new writer can keep up with the foundation of the story that she already build in all this years, and Eva too dont know if the new writer can makes the story as perfect as Eva had in her Imagination

The game is not finished. It is still in development. So it is always possible that the dev will want to go back to redo parts of their game, as it is not technically complete and open to changes. This is the nature of games in development. If this bothers you, than wait a few years until it is complete.

I personally like the rework. It's always nice to see a decent visual novel polished up and improved. I'm certain the improvments made in the rework will lead to something better in the future. In any event, there's no shortage of other VNs you can play while you wait.
