The Remaster was probably for the Dev to better appropriate the game for the Steam release. I talked a bit about this before but you can see some changes to certain fetishes that makes them less specific.

There's no real incentive for developers to work faster with the current funding model. Eva Kiss hasn't released an update progressing the story for a year, yet her patron count is down only 5%. When the dev releases the upcoming update, the patron numbers will go up quickly, but they'll trickle down slowly in the following months. The dev can ride the wave for a year after that all over again.

Chapter 10 will be bigger than the 9 previous chapters and her previous game combine.

True, this game dev is probably overdoing it in the time it's taking. Either the next update is massive or I don't know what is going on.
I think it shows how good Eva Kiss' content is. People love the game so much they get their panties in a bunch waiting. Me included.
You must have the patience of a monk to avoid playing the rework. But if I were you don't play the rework until chapter 10 comes out. Most if not all the old saves won't work and there's only a handful of scenes that were reworked because some of the gameplay was changed.
