I don't think there's really such thing. No matter if you approach it from Ian/Holly or Ian/Lena end, there's similar long stretch where Ian is basically only in relationship with one of them while Lena and Holly get closer but never go beyond "wait, we can't kiss, it would complicate things" until the beach house resolution.

Starting with Lena and then switching to Holly at the book fair might give Ian more "history" with them both so to speak, but i'm not sure how it affects the chances of actually forming the trinity in the end i.e. whether Lena breaking up with Ian over him getting close to Holly affects/blocks things down the road. Probably best to consult the walkthrough on that.
