I had Lana cheat on Ian with everyone, and instead of them committing to a relationship, they hit me with the "I love you" in the beach scene... but the game is like there is zero acknowledgement, no "open relationship" but there is the option of a threesome.

When Lena signs the contract is when Good Jess' partner is set. If Lena signs it Jess tells Ian that Dave is her fiance when they're having coffee. Without the contract Ash is her fiance.

Ashley would only end up with Arthur if Lena does the same with Seymour. Else Arthur likely doesn't even appear in ORS.
So the Ashley/Arthur "bad end" is only canon if we go to the Lena/Seymour "bad end".

In chapter 9, when Seymour always proposes the unique working contract. Lena can back out of it a few times, but when she is in chapter 13 with Seymour, she is is pretty much on his path. I speculate that at this time, its very likely that it leads to the "bad" Seymour wins end. As in Seymour, Arthur, Agnes and his mayor candidate will win and Emma, Perrys dad and homeless guy will lose. On this path, Seymour always asks Lena for a meeting with Emma. I suspect at the meeting, Seymour will compromize Emma and her team in some matter, allowing him to win. If Lena isn't working with Seymour and on Emmas team, they will likely win.

On this note, there's this bit in the game's script:

So it seems that yeah, this threesome isn't going to be exclusive to pure Lena/Ian forever. At least some other Ians may get their chance, too. :whistle::coffee:
