I would love it if that were the case. How sweet it would be if Seymour were only a big pretender, neck deep* of debts, and with no real power to mess up the lives of the rest of the characters, but unfortunately, it looks like he does hold a lot of influence and power, shutting every door in Lena's path except for his and making his heart desire with the town, at least for now

Since this is path where Arthur is not in jail though, wouldn't it make it the one where he wins the lottery? I'm not very well versed in his paths, admittedly.

Right, we see Seymour whining like a puppy to Agnes, the old money behind an acclaimed brand, while the kinda guys that hangs around him currently are people who are new to money like him.
I did say he's not doing as well as he'd like, not that he wasn't doing well. But Seymour clearly wants more than to just be a rich man.

No need to canonize anything since the game already accounts for this difference. When Lena signs the contract and gets on the route where Athur pops up, Jess' fiance becomes Dave instead of Ashley. Ashley is only Good Jess' fiance on anti-Seymour playthroughs.
Arthur could, for all we know, have met a whole other fate on playthroughs where we don't meet him. Similarly, Ash is free to be his plaything without conflicting with the Jess relationship.

I don't think Ian/Lena influences it in any way, but I don't know for sure since I don't play their pairing.

So, in this new chapter we're going to see Billy's event, but if at the same time you took Seymour's route, that means a violation of the contract with him. Just wondering if Eva Kiss plans on giving the reader the option to keep on going with both routes or if she's going to eject you from one of the two eventually. Would be interesting for me if Eva Kiss gave the option to take a corruption route where she keeps a foot in both camps for a while, although Seymour seems able to find out everything she does, starting from the stalkfap profile. Curious to see how it plays out.

I don't really have a lot to comment towards Agnes, she acts generally aloof and superior I think, but that's just rich old lady 101 I would assume.

I think it matters more that Seymour goes out of his way to please her. His demeanor when Lena refuses to work with Axel changes entirely depending on Agnes being present or not.

Now I have the theory about that, depending on which couples have formed on the playthrough the response may change. In a Ian/Lena, Good Jess, not spawned by God, she has a fiancé, a 4-year relationship, and is the best guy she has ever met. But Lena/Seymour is conditional on the code, so I will be trying that next

Alone for this Lena has to work with Seymour no matter what, since Dave/Jess are part of my personal canon in GGGB. It was pretty obvious in the old game how well Jess and Dave fitted together. And it is mentioned in ORS by Jess herself. So I am pretty curious how that weekend will go with Good Jess and a Lena working well with Seymour at that event.
