That is to say, Axel's jealousy and drama wasn't necessarily something completely unfounded. In latter chapters there's also pretty obvious mentions of events which suggest Lena even way before wasn't some sort of shy virginal flower who would panic at the thought of a penis.

Lena in first chapter is smarting from being cheated on, but it doesn't mean she's "vanilla girl".

Two things:
- I was not disserting on the essence of women here, I was talking about what was credible AND not credible in THAT specific game. Of course women and men can have dozens of sides. All I'm saying is that as far as this game is concerned, only the vanilla version is well written. Any dark side added is not philosophically or morally unwelcome, but artistically and narativelly not well brought.
- I will make one exception: hanging to Axel. Having played several paths, the most narratively credible option with a darker side is a vanilla Lena who ends up cheating on Ian with Axel because she did not get over him. This path is believable.
