No point in trying to set dates if they'll almost inevitably slip. People are going to whine and moan either way: that there's no dates, or that the dates are too far off, and/or that the dates weren't met. Or even if they were met then how there's not enough content for all that time spent on it.

Did you, perhaps, flag your Ian as having romantic feelings for Lena, instead of just casually hooking up with her? I'd have to check, but that might affect his behavior and have him act on his own without player's input.
It sounds like you told Jeremy that Ian is falling for Lena. That prevents you from being able to have the two start dating. When Jeremy asks how Ian feels about Lena pick a different option.
