There were seeds of a route in like the super early stage. That's why Ed doesn't think it's a big deal to walk in while she's changing since she does live life modeling. Those plans were dropped shortly after.
Personally I love the paternal type support she gets from Molly and Ed. They treat her much better than her own mom.

I agree, if Ed was a choice for Lena, I'd prefer him over Seymour. You just can't find a game where an older man is not a creeper(Arthur is the worst character I've seen so far).

Yeah if you're into guys Ed could have been a decent pick if he keeps his suppotive role he has now. Besides Ian and maybe Stan every other guy is an asshole if you want them to be a LI. I did the Seymour route only for the elegant dress and gift for Ivy. I do want to see if Lena maintains her independence on this route.
Have you tried Parker from Jessica's Hard News? He's an older guy who isn't a creep and I think you'd like him.

The way Ed was sort of creeping with Lena, both with the changing room and with how he turns up "randomly" at one of her events, makes me think that his route wasn't going to be entirely wholesome.

I can see the walk in as being a bit creepy. I think he's just a bit of an out of touch but harmless old man. Him showing up is explained by Ed being an artist himself. I'm sure him being an artist was meant to tie in to Lena's artistic side like Ian is a writer.

As I recall, Lena was changing in the main section of the store.
When will the next update release Eva kiss didn't update anything single thing since 12.3

Not the main section where customers would be. I believe it was like a breakroom or maybe kitchen.
No Eva axed that possibility very early in development. I also think Molly's bad health was set up to facilitate this.

Not to my knowledge, but I am not very good at uncovering all paths.
My impression is that Ed and Molly provide wholesome relief.
