Like, the gloryhole event is obviously intended for Holly's corruption arc with Ivy so it is very stupid for people to act like the Holly that goes through with it is the same innocent little angel of the romance routes, but Ivy is still the one doing the corrupting. This hardly makes Ivy a villain since it is unlikely Holly's corruption arc will have a tragic ending, but she's still (and always has been) kind of an asshole and a bad influence.

"Corrupting" is such bullshit concept i don't think i can roll my eyes hard enough at it.

Ivy is just teaching Holly how to have fun, in a way that Ivy herself views as fun and supposedly partakes regularly. It's not like Holly is 12 and can't choose not to hang out with Ivy, if she didn't like what Ivy lets her experience. I hardly think this makes Ivy in any way an asshole, or a bad influence, unless we're going to claim that being sexually open and having fun is something bad that no girl should have her hand in? It can be a pretty tall claim when in the meantime player-driven Lena potentially sucks all the dicks and fucks everything that moves.

An introverted and very weak willed Holly is peer pressured into doing drugs. There is a power disparity here. It's pretty coercive compared to homegirls passing each other drugs. But whether it be drugs or cocks that she is high on, Ivy and Lena are real fucked up people in this route, for real lol. Because let's face it, Eva took the dive into the corruption spiral. It's no longer a nuanced look of perhaps a shy girl breaking out of her shell with some sex positive message from her close friends. My read on Holly is that she's a dilettante... there's one beach scene where she talks about how she wants to move away from Young Adult to writing actual erotica and I can imagine her wanting to 'research' that type of stuff by experiencing it for herself.

My read on Holly is that she spends the entire story desperate to be 'shown the ropes' and while there are threads where Ian or Lena basically take it upon themselves to seduce Holly, it is also possible for the MCs to kind of ignore Holly leaving the door open to Ivy who is almost completely without scruples - She hooked up with Axel without telling Lena, she manipulated Jeremy away from Louise during the drinking game, and she not only pushed Lena towards nude modelling but also towards taking drugs.

I don't have any problem believing that Ivy could drug Holly, get her riled up, and then drag her to a gloryhole. She doesn't care about Holly... to her it's just fun and hot.

The question of assuming responsibility for Holly is a thread that runs through the rest of the story too as there's a Minerva scene where she notes Ian's connection to Holly and not only dumps him but warns him away from Holly because she's easily influenced and too pure for this world.

To me, this all seems reasonable... it just needs a bit more connective tissue explaining it and it shouldn't appear in any run where Holly is involved with either Ian or Lena.

The updates play like Eva has run out of steam and lost her vision for this game.

I've kinda run out of steam as well. There are so many paths, POVs and possibilities now that the game has become quite difficult and tiresome to navigate. The goal in GGGB was less complicated. ORS deals with more drama in shorter bursts, additional game stats and too many side characters on top of mundane stuff like finding the right book topic or lyrics to a terrible song.

Almost let out a groan when the game switched back to Ian in my last playthrough. That's how much I detest having to switch between two characters that I stopped caring about. I'd rather see Ian throw away his book career to become a stripper for soccer moms than helping him with his sports or book career any further.

I mean why is Holly in the gloryhole and not Lena? Ian should have followed her into the booths to get his dick sucked by her only to shoot his load into the whale instead. That's how you cross paths and stop the sidelining that is watering down the game. They should challenge each other doing crazy shit while playing cat and mouse. Let the player decide how they'll become an item, not if. It should be a story of two stars colliding, not flying past each other in a safe distance.

And no, the problem with Ivy is that she is very single-minded and thinks she knows what's best for everyone and never listens to how other people feel. It is very clear in any playthroughs where Lena is not going along with Ivy's advice regarding stalkfap or working for Billy, she repeatedly brings it up, flaunts how much money she is making, and acts condescending when Lena refuses to do the same as her for her own reasons.

Again I don't think Ivy is a villain or trying to harm Holly, but her idea of being friendly is to insist on other people doing things her way and going along with what her idea of fun is, and anyone that disagrees is either foolish or an inexperienced prude. That kind of attitude is what makes her a bit of an asshole.

Hmm playing the update, it's kinda disappointing that for Lena who broke up with Ian in Ch.12 and has lena_go_holly at 5 there's apparently no way to get together with Holly. They just briefly mention the breakup and that's basically it, the visit is over.

PilotLara sorry to bother you, because it's technically not a bug, but is there a chance you could mention this idea to EK? Have a path on Saturday during Holly's visit, for Lena with v12_ian_lena_breakup and lena_go_holly at 5, to bring up their feelings for each other, with option to start dating and maybe linking to the sex scene they can have there? For Lena who has lena_axel_fuck active this could be good moment to spend willpoint to decide to end things with Axel in order to be with Holly, too. Well, just a thought.

edit: found a bug while at it: on the throuple route, after the # HOLLY TRINITY sex scene ends, the game is likely to directly jump into # IAN DATE SECOND CHANCE because the conditions for it are fullfilled:

    if v13_lena_ian_date == False and ian_lena_dating and ian_lena_crisis != "forgive":

the check should exclude cases where holly_trinity == 2
