Have you, perhaps, played the last update with Ctrl pressed down? Because that's pretty much the opposite what happens. Everyone inquiries Ian how he feels about the breakup and hopes it doesn't affect him too badly. Holly discusses the breakup with Lena. Lena herself thinks about the breakup and how she's done shitty thing to Ian and deserves what happened, multiple times.

I'm curious what is your idea of "minding enough" in this context. Lena performing ritual suicide with Lola assisting her to deliver the final blow?

Hmm, was Lena in your game fucking other guys aside from Ian? She'll have this reaction if you choose for her to keep seeing Axel and/or go for the love options with Seymour. It's simply the narrative trying to make sense out of player's decisions -- it'd be silly for Lena to claim she's sooo in love with Ian if in reality she's picking options marked "i'm sooo head over heels for these other dudes".

EK didn't want to create GGGB 2.0 and has said it multiple times. The dev told the peeps to simmer their expectations on raunchy scenes because it would be a semi-realistic game.

Yes, I read that the author does not want self-repetitions. But the fact is that a lot of plot elements carried over from the first game. She could have simply written: I’m afraid for my Patreon, I just don’t see any other reasons not to add kind of halfbrother to the game.
For the sake of greater realism, the player's interest is also lost. By chapter 4, the player simply gets tired of reading mostly the same thing.
