Yes, I read that the author does not want self-repetitions. But the fact is that a lot of plot elements carried over from the first game. She could have simply written: I’m afraid for my Patreon, I just don’t see any other reasons not to add kind of halfbrother to the game.
For the sake of greater realism, the player's interest is also lost. By chapter 4, the player simply gets tired of reading mostly the same thing.

I mean, on one hand this is a bit of edge case. But on the other hand, like the other poster points out, if you were in relationship with a girl and that girl out of a blue jumped on a cock of a guy she's known for all 10 minutes and whose only interaction with her was, "nice tits, wanna fuck?" then you wouldn't really fool yourself into thinking "acshually, she truly deeply loves me", would you? Yeah it's not a bug. Emma even asks if Ian would be okay with it and Lena ask about Perry and they agree to have sex after they both come to the conclusion that it's fine.
