I guess it makes different playthroughs even more radically different. Replayability is a good end goal, and it must be nice to think of all that branch writing paying off more often. I think it gives the game a very Multiverse vibe. I do have to admit that I find some of the choices very difficult personally to make, and I don't think I can bring myself to go down the darkest paths.

Idk how many times I read Seymour type of male characters in books and fanfiction. They are morally gray/borderline on dark personalities, and all of them have traits of being toxic possessive and obsessive red flags. They manipulate, blackmail and coerce FMCs.
