Nah loser/clingy Ian doesn't seem to be all that interesting to Gilian. Chad Ian (AKA got his closure at first meeting with her) is the version that seems to have an option for re-kindling the fire or... Revenge obviously.

Gillian asks both clingy and ambivalent Ian for a date. The only* difference is that clingy Ian auto-accepts it while Ian who has shown some restraint gets a choice whether he agrees to it.

*) well, technically it's not the only difference, since there's separate dialogue branches depending on if Ian got over Gillian or is still pining for her. But it's hard to say which of them is going to work out better, if any.
