Today I’m bringing you a pretty quick status update: I’ve basically been in crunch mode for the past couple of weeks, trying to push forward as much as I can with this part of the chapter, and I plan to keep going like this until I have something to release. Coordinating all the tasks has been a challenge (structuring the narrative, deciding what to keep and what to cut, producing all the necessary art, writing the script, etc.), and while I’m making steady progress, the mental fatigue of not having a concrete milestone yet is tough to deal with.
I also don’t want to be forced to cut more than I’d like just to make a deadline, so I’ve decided to publish whatever I have in a month’s time. Hopefully I’ll manage to cover all the ideas I want to include and make this segment of the chapter feel as polished as possible, but if for any reason something isn’t finished by the end of August (whether due to delays in the art pipeline or because testing and other tasks have taken priority), I’ll roll it into the second part of the chapter instead.
So, I’m putting all my effort into having a build ready to share with you in about 30 days, aiming for it to be as complete as possible, and then continuing with the second part of the chapter at a more manageable pace. Just a reminder: Chapter 14, which covers Billy’s event, will span 3 in-game days, two of which will be included in this first release.
Also, there will be a small surprise for higher-tier patrons before the actual release, so stay tuned for that too!
