Wait, the update is just one scene ?

No, but according to her status reports the chapter was almost done on Sep.6 aside from two variations on one scene and the addition of one emotional scene she really wanted to include. Fast forward almost two weeks, everything is ready except that one scene. And now fast forward another 5 days from that (today), and apparently that one scene is still a problem. Since the variations didn't sound like an issue at all, that's 16 days and counting of delay (in the form of "just a few more days, trust me") for a single scene. Apparently the "emotional climax" of a Diddy party.

So yeah, sounds like bullshit lmao. My personal theory is that she enjoyed her summer and only started working truly seriously on the chapter in September, and has been going full speed (birthday aside) all month to compensate. But who knows.

It would be funny if this update turned out to be as disappointing as the trip with Seymour

I don't expect it'll be bad. But I do think it's bound to feel underwhelming relative to the time it's been said to be in the making.

That's not saying that the scene itself is necessarily emotional in a romantic fashion, though I see options for that too. And like Eva says it would serve as the emotional climax of this specific update, not of any of the individual relationships.

I take it to mean that the scene is the emotional climax because it will change somewhat depending on what happens during this update and what choices you make.
If I were to hazard a guess I think it may be a scene where we get to see a shift happen between Lena and Ivy. Perhaps Ivy finds success with the guys and either Lena can be bitter or they celebrate. Perhaps it's the opposite, Lena hogs all the attention and Ivy can be more or less miffed at that depending on how her relationship with Lena is going.
Perhaps the player has been allowed to focus on Ivy with Lena and we finally get the heart option to start a dedicated route with her. Perhaps Lena can influence Jeremy and Ivy in a direction that's not just about sex and reward.
So there could be romance, there could be professional fulfilment, or perhaps a change in the relationship with Ivy towards more of a rivalry.

Preety sure this next update is supposed to be only the big event. If we see Holly, it's either gonna be her sending the selfie with Ian(on corrupted path and if we let her take the pic), or Ivy showing Lena the recording of that BBC portion of gloryhole that Ivy didn't send Lena(just like you wanted). Or we could get both, but that would still probably be the most of Holly in this chapter.
