You can start easy: For Lena:
- Love Ian;
- Free woman;
- Corrupted
then you can branch again:
Love Ian - Love Ian more or cuck Ian.
Yes is a difficult work, but should be a passepartout for the game.
i think you guys have no idea what a massive undertaking the branching code is!
Lena:
- love ian;
yeah that could be easy.
- free woman;
what do you consider to be "free woman"? not in any relationships? that could be done, but what's the fun in that?
- corrupted;
fucking whoever whenever the chance arrises? is that what you would mean with "free woman" then? if yes, what's the difference?
then you also would have to choose between chronologically impossible modding, or chronologically doable modding. meaning if for example lena can take mike, mark and ian to the toilet stall to suck them off, as that is not consistent with the flow of the game.
doing every scene is generally an easier feat, but you need to rewrite code for this. but then again you might have a player who likes mike and ian, but not mark. or want no ian but have mike and mark. so it's actually a much bigger workload.
doing only scenes that fit the playthrough isn't much better either. for example you want lena to go with mark, but also want holly to become a slut. both at the same don't work. so if the player has gone with slut holly, they will probably wonder why mike and ian is an option, but not mark. having done a choice a few chapters back and maybe adding a note saying that it will cancel out mark as potential sex partner, will not suffice for anyone who wants a mod to make paths easier to follow. if that were the case, then JD's mod would suffice already.
so you'd have your work cutout already by deciding what paths you are actually going to make a mod for! that's even before starting to code!
and we haven't even touched ian's side of things as well!
the reason why path specific mods wouldn't work well with this game, is because there are very few clearly defined paths.
what you could do is mod paths like i said above, the love ian route. but let's say you make mods for love ian; love holly; love ian and holly; love mike; love axel; love seymour; (and robert?).
then that would only cover like 1/3 of lena's content alone! there are still the other characters lena can have a fling with
you'd have to look at the route varations of each love path and think if lena is allowed to cheat on that path. then there are emma and ivy. do they also get a love path in the future? are you going to play through 14+ chapters with almost no action because of them?
but let's assume we have an idea what paths the mod covers and are naive enough to believe it's doable and the next chapter won't fuck up our entire system. you'd have to actually code that in! since just because i highlight what choice to take for the path to continue, the player might want to deviate from it. sure you have yourself to blame if you don't follow the path the mod lays out for you. but have you looked at other mods on this site? they are mostly giving you the best option to pursue your desired path and are suggesting which choice to pick. in ORS you don't have that luxury. most choices here lead to a different path alltogether. not without reason are you able to break up with ian at multiple times in the game, especially since a break up isn't a gameover by any means!
this is a colossal undertaking unless you ignore almost all content in favor for pure love routes.
at this point you could rather rewrite the entire code of the game yourself, keeping the original as a mere guide how the story goes and align each route to it.
