Yep. I think it's because she wanted to do something different. GGGB was a more 'comical' and typical erotic "fall from grace" type of story. Whereas ORS is more of a (semi?) realistic fall to depravity that is at least somewhat believable, especially with the more realistic triggers that mostly come from either Seymour or Ivy.
