This week the flu knocked me out and I’ve been stuck in bed, so it’s been hard to be as productive as I wanted. On the days I managed to work, I wrote a bit, but I mostly focused on editing images and giving the game’s music a little extra love. I replaced a couple of tracks that felt pretty weak and added a new one or two.
I've also been handling tasks related to the Steam launch, since it seems there are some issues with IP infringements and similar matters that Steam isn't willing to clarify. So I’ve had to dig around and replace assets in the hope of fixing whatever they find problematic. We’ll go through a second review round and see if this time we meet their requirements. If not, we’ll have to iterate again.
These tasks and the flu are a real hurdle when it comes to making progress on the chapter, which is turning out to be especially challenging because of all the branching paths and overlapping possibilities. For now I’m still writing the script; the structure of the party events is already in place, though I still need to flesh out some of the moments and interactions that take place there. But I’d rather focus on the different climaxes that close the chapter. I already have one of them finished, and I plan to work on the others while handling the visual side in parallel.
