It is true that the sexual deviants in ORS are a lot less fun/funny than in GGGB.
But it probably comes with the more "serious" tone of the game.
For me the only real fun cheating path is with IanxMinerva but I am well aware that most people can't get past her middle aged fridge body.
I didn't either until I started just hunting down scenes, completionist style with a guide.
Here I am as a Minerva stan since the characters were unveiled. One of my biggest annoyances with the game is the lack of a girl girl route with Minerva.
Non-Minerva path is where she ends up being a fridge, because she leaves the gym. If you mingle with her till you decline her dinner invitation, or continue through her path, she's all set to look like the best version of herself.

That's one of the things I really appreciate about this game compared other games. The characters actually change how they look. Not just clothes or perhaps a different hairstyle, but physically change as they diet and workout. Ian and Holly are the most obvious, but I'd like to see the trend continue with Stan, Minerva, and Lena. Wade too depending on how his breakup with Cindy goes.
Yeah, Dom/Sub Ian and Dom/Sub Minerva route are so good! She definitely is that arrogant strict boss bitch you want to tame and show her who's the actual boss, yet you don't mind her to be in her mercy.
It's also fun to watch people transform themselves in a good way. Minerva looks damn good for her age as the game progresses. The last office scene with Ian before he leaves for the beach was amazing. Talking about the table pose.

As I'm playing through a Cherry path again. I'm beginning to get upset that Ian gets a lot of similar rewards as though he's dating Lena or Holly. Just with far fewer scenes. Bring Cherry back EK!

The way both Lena and Cherry has described it, Axel has introduced Cherry to Lena and Cheery was acting as Lena's "friend" while fucking Axel behind Lena's back. Then at some point Axel pushed to make it into a threesome. And then at some later point the cat got out of the bag.
Cherry herself is pretty explicit that what she's done to Lena was absolutely shitty, and expecting Lena to reconcile with someone who was never her actual friend is... i feel more of genitals-powered "now kiss!" wishful thinking than anything else.
So I've replayed all of the Cherry route and I, at no point, saw anything regarding Cherry pretending or acting to be Lena's friend.
Cherry admits to lusting after Axel, while knowing that he and Lena were dating
Admits that is a shitty thing to do
Admitted to wanting to fill Lena's roll after Axel and Lena broke up, but realized that was also shitty
Decided to move on from Axel as he was being shitty and distant, because he was still pining for Lena.
Cherry also seems, at times, to be ready to make a statement contrary to what Lena's claims are, but then stops herself.
Lena says that Cherry was her friend, during a conversation between herself, Holly, and Ivy while at the mall, at which point Ivy immediately jumps in and starts insulting Cherry. And when Holly makes mention of trying to reconcile with Cherry, Ivy once again immediately inserts herself to insult Cherry again while also claiming that Lena doesn't need to talk to Cherry to turn that page of her life.
Circling back to my conversation with Gicoo and BlandChili if this was still the early stages of the game I would take that to mean Ivy just having Lena's back in a shitty situation as they are best friends. But with how Ivy has developed since that scene in the mall I think it's necessary to view Ivy's statements under a more critical lens; as her and Axel are / were pretty close. This is even foreshadowed in several earlier scenes between Ian and Ivy; notably when Ian first meets Jess at Shine and Axel and Seymour happen to run into the group of Ivy, Jess, Jeremy, and Ian. Just something to keep in mind as the story unfolds.
Anyway back on topic. Both Ian and Holly seem to reason out that Axel is the bad guy and Ian outright claims it at several points during conversations with Cherry. At no point does he absolve Cherry of her part in it, but says "He (Axel) is the main culprit in all of this..."
There is also a flag that gets set "v12_cherry_lena = True" if Ian continues to push for Cherry and Lena to reconcile in chapter 12. Cherry has been gone for the last several chapters so nothing has come from this flag yet. Now I'm pretty smooth brain, but there are only two reasons for this flag that I can reason out. Either to lay the foundations to make amends or if Ian pushes again in the future to make an appropriate relationship hit. Personally, this seems really similar to setting boundaries with Cindy where in the moment it doesn't seem like the best choice, but it ultimately turns out that way.
Now I haven't actually browsed through the entire script, just played through what I would consider a "normal" Cherry route. All of this comes on an Ian loving Cherry and Lena loving Holly, so perhaps there is a divergence in the narrative if other relationships are developed. Much like Jess' past is determined by who Lena sleeps with, or Lena's past is determined by how high her lust is. So perhaps this is a case where we are both right and I just didn't make the necessary decisions to read the same text you have.
