Why do you care about the engine a developer uses? Play the game, and if there's any feature missing, let me know and I'll add it.
i thought in the original if u chose to love everyone it locked u out of marrying and impregnating albedo and vice versa
There were different options, for sure some locked you out, yes. However, I think the walkthrough explains how to avoid that option. Either way, this will be more straightforward if you compare the choice you're making to the timeline in the title screen.
I'll also erase or edit some choices to make it more clear what you're picking, I had already done that in the following project (Legacy of Hestia) which showed which route you'd be going to if you picked said choice.
We can change our name in the game! INSTANT FOLLOW!!
Also fingers crossed to bringing back pregnancy scenes.
There will be, yes. In general, this game aims to improve and add on the previous project, not remove.
same with 1 single exception
my only gripe with the original would have been how obnoxious the son u have with shaltear is so im hoping either
he gets rewritten, he gets removed, or make some kind of toggle for which characters can and cant get pregnant
More than rewritten, I think the biggest issue is that he didn't have enough scenes to give context to his personality, he's meant to be "annoying", and I'm happy to know I managed to portray that, until he's not (And not 100% due to character's growth). At the time some of the key scenes were moved to Overlord H II (Planned),
then moved to another game I am planning in future, and now I'll probably include them here as well once the time comes.
Congrats and best of luck! I'm hoping the new version allows you to romance both Clementine and Shalltear in a single playthrough instead of having to kill or turn Clementine undead. I understand why those were the only options in the original, but an alternate path would be great to see.
You could do both in the original as well, what changed is that whether Shalltear would be the main wife or not.
The choice will be the same in this game as well, but if you'll view the timeline in the title screen, hopefully it'll be more clear where you're heading and the possibilities ahead.
There was a walkthrough for the original one, but I suppose having a separate pdf is less intuitive than having a more compact screen showing you directly where a choice you're making is leading you.
Hmm I just adore overlord by far my favourite anime, I do however recall trying the first game a few years ago and quitting as it was a big mess tbh but maybe this remaster will fix the issues?
In the end more overlord is more good.
I don't know what the issues are. If, at the time, you told me said issues, I most likely improved over the years and made sure not to include them. If you never told me, then there's a chance I never realized to this day.
Ok so tried the game, its very short right now but seems a biiiiig upgrade over the first one.
And that it is made in unity seems fine tbh it has almost all the expected features anyway roleback, smooth text and skipping works fine bound to the regular ctrl key.
The minor thing missing is right click bringing up the save menu but that is just that very minor.
Overall seems promising.
The first release of the original one was nearly 4x smaller than this one, with the second being even a little smaller, while this game's second release will include Carne Village (which was also partially cut in the original one).
At some point in the future, I'll either allow the remapping of controls or just make some polls to decide a better default.
The save menu should have a hotkey, but it's in the keyboard currently, not mouse.
