Interesting idea, but this is so utterly broken with bugs that its actually unplayable, even after the patch. Buttons missing, getting stuck on screens all the time, images missing, screens full of error codes, buttons dont do anything, theres no option to click on after some fights when you win them so you cant actually get past them (like the bear and some skeletons), buying items/weapons doesnt work but still takes your money, half the traps doesnt work, you can duplicate both items and characters like Alice which obviously causes even more bugs etc etc.
I also have some questions about how the management and economy is meant to work here, I assume you are supposed to get the lumber mill fairly early? How are you meant to get that ball rolling when you dont have the resources for it and theres no way to attain those except capturing people, which raises your notoriety so fast that you now need to spend what little resources you have to keep that in check? Just randomly click explore and flee from all enemies until you happen to get the resources you need seems to be the best way so far, which is not fun. Especially since every time you do that, theres pretty much a new bug.
I kinda find the UI to be very unintuitive too tbh, you have buttons stuck between 2 images instead of the before or after them, "go back" and "do thing" buttons have no consistancy and swap places frequently, causing alot of misclicks and theres a bunch of screens that make you needlessly scroll down to continue, screens you see very, very often. I would suggest cleaning that up a bit, make things actually fit a normal screen better and maybe add button hotkeys like some other html games have?
Im sorry if im being harsh on this, but this is not even a working proof of concept at this point. If this gets off its feet, I would absolutely be checking in after a couple of revisions, but as it stands right now this should probably not have been released at all. Remember, you want to draw people in, but if its this much trouble this early its likely to scare people off instead. Have something functioning and good before releasing anything, even if its not much, and work from there imo.
