new update or bugfix ready?
Hi, Sorry for the delay, I have been working on the game daily but I haven't checked in here till today. I've got a bit carried away working on completely overhauling images. As well as adding a lot to the settlement management section (new buildings, events, production etc). I've also added new types of locations to discover and all this has introduced new elements I'm trying to balance out.
I'd also like to add some more to the story before releasing the next update so it will be a bit of time before it's ready (In October), but this next update will be bigger with a lot more to do and improved images to go with it.

Hi, TBH I wrote a full response and then forgot to click send....

I've been doing a lot of work on the settlement aspect as it seemed to be popular. So a few new features there are production management, creating new buildings managing random events etc. It's one of the harder things to work on as it requires careful balancing.
Some other things added so far:
-There's new types of locations for explorers to discover including bandit camps which are larger and more difficult to attack and caravans which are a good way to get resources.
-Ive also added a lot of random interactions between followers around the castle, and a new area to store settlers at the castle other than the dungeon as rescuing them from bandits is now possible.
-Lucy and Alice now have new 'activities' in the village and town.
-Blackjack is available in the tavern as a mini game
-I'm also trying out a new 'art' style for the images. Orientally I was going to paywall this, but I've decided to make it the free image pack and see if its preferred over the realistic images from the last update

Some tangible statistics-
Currently the game has 4133 images/videos over the 3335 in the last update and there's 918 passages (pages in the game) compared to the last update of 867

Currently, I'm also working on a "siege" event where larger forces attack the castle, but this is quite complex and may be cut for the next update.

There's a lot more than this along with a faction system I've been working on for ages.

Here's some images of random passages and a few images of characters to show the new style I'm trialing

Hi! Thanks a lot for the detailed update, this all sounds really exciting.
The settlement improvements and new management mechanics sound like a big step forward, and I especially like the idea of random events and more interactions around the castle. It really makes the world feel more alive.


The new types of locations, bandit camps, and caravans also add nice depth to exploration, and rescuing settlers instead of just capturing them is a cool touch. Blackjack as a mini game is a fun addition too.


I'm also curious to see the new art style. Making it part of the free pack is a great idea, and I'm looking forward to seeing how it compares with the realistic style.


The siege event and faction system both sound ambitious. Even if they don’t make it into the next update, it’s great to know they’re in development. Overall, it feels like the game is expanding in meaningful ways, and I can’t wait to try all these new features.

Thanks, I missed this off the list of bugs to fix. I’ll take a look at it ASAP
I have satisfied all requirements to go to Ironpeak but do not have the option to go there.

Also .... I restarted on this version and noticed i could get to the coven before the first tavern quest but then not after. Also never got credit for the first tavern quest. The Main Hall quest was done by Lucy I killed Jon, but then later the guard still stops you. So I did it again, and was able to kill Jon again.

All the new content sounds great!

Since you are going all in on the settlement angle...
- We need a reliable source of Iron.
Ironspeak has maybe 3 bars per week for me.

- Can you display the corruption level for the Villagers?
Currently you can only see that if you move them all to the dungeon.

- Can you display the the training level of the troops in the settlement?
Currently you can only see training level in the courtyard or barracks

- There is a bug after you recall multiple units from the settlements.
It seems to shift the reference in the barracks. After recalling multiple units, I the barracks, I try to manage a unit that I have recalled, it ends up managing a different unit. If I deploy that unit to a settlement, the number of militia in the barracks is reduced by the number of the shift.
For example:
I have 45 units in the barracks.
I try to manage one of the recalled units.
The unit being managed is different.
I deploy that unit to a settlement.
I now have one unit deployed to a settlement, but 41 militia in the barracks.

There are many bugs but this one is really frustrating.

I looked at the bug again.
I recalled 2 units.
When I try to manage the second unit recalled, the first unit recalled is opened.
When I deploy that unit to a settlement, the second unit recalled no longer exists.
If I send the first unit to the infirmary, the second unit remains in the barracks and can be managed.
I think sending to training also does not deplete units.
The real problem comes if you are recalling more than 5 healthy units, there is no way to normalize the data.

Sorry for the delay, I don’t check here very often which is my bad. These are all really good points/ideas and thanks for letting me know about the bug.

corruption at settlements is a big part of the next update. I’ve changed it to focus on the corruption of each individual NPC and then the settlements corruption is an overall average. This is so interactions with NPC has more depth.

I’ve also created a new area at the castle called the living quarters. This is basically in infinite storage area for NPCs as dumping them in the dungeon is a faf if you have 10+ to train.

training level of guards at settlements is a good point. I’ll add that for sure

as for iron. I’ve left that to the side as I wanted to make the mine at ironpeak a big thing where exploring it adds risks but is the main way to find iron. But that’s been on the back burner for a while. But I do agree it needs to be more obtainable in the next update so I’ll have a think about how to balance it.


As for transferring NPCs and guards. I think I’ve fixed this but will double check. The main issue is how I’ve piled ideas on top of each other as I didn’t have a concrets vision for the game. So how data about npcs is stored is different for each location but now things are more planned out, I’ve done my best to standardise this now to help deal with more numbers and better management.

Glad to hear you’re making good progress. Take your time and make sure everything’s polished — we’ll wait for a solid release. Excited to see what’s coming next!

i noticed now that the directions on the map are facing wrong. the west side is on the right, should be east there. and on the opposite side should be west. south and north are correctly placed.

Furthermore, when using the nav buttons and not clicking on the map for entering abandoned places like tower ruin etc, the bug triggering the location multiple times causing the 'i already visited here' is not going off. so thats a work around at the moment.

I know this is asking a lot, and is game changing. But will there ever be an option for starting out as a Female Protagonist?
Hi, it’s a request I’ve had a few times and would need a complete rework of the game tbh. It is something I will eventually do but the challenge is, once I make it, I have to support it with regular updates like I do now so it’s both a huge effort and will double my workload going forward making updates slower. So I hope you can see why it’s on the back burner.
But it is something I want to do, thanks ☺

Hi, thanks for pointing that out. That’s embarrassing ngl. I can live with spelling errors but getting east and west mixed up is crazy.

Thanks for making me aware I’ll fix it
