You have to go to the bandit camp (desert island), and follow that questline.

don't attack when she do this form that all.heal,guard and she will undo it after two or three turns.after defeating branda just buy tons of antidotes i know you will need.

just keep looking like they said --> in the center, west and east there are your companions it's fairly easy to find them tbh.
