What does this mean? Are we only going to have scenes of Luna solo? No action again? I'll be honest, if the updates were somehow massive and it only meant a slow pace for the game overally this probably wouldn't be an issue for anyone but if that means a year+ to some action then expect some hard feelings from supporters. Not saying don't do it, just understand some reactions.
Full honesty, I'm not a supporter yet. One reason I now tend to support games after they've show they can deliver something is that I've been burned by supporting games in the past that start off promising but then fall into one of these:
- over-scoping themselves into oblivion by adding more and more characters nobody cares about (ex: Daily Lives of My Countryside)
- going into endless re-make mode (ex: Twisted World)
- drag everything out for ages and then release nothingburgers or even worse gets abandoned (ex: Duality... this one hurts most)
Just to name a few. Not saying you'll do these, but there's warning signs of the last one and your project is REALLY promising. Even though Daily Lives burned me one thing they do well is give road maps. But I cry when I think of the amount of dollars I've basically sent out into the void and I think I'm not alone in this.
