Getting an error. Happens during start of Hell Week where Kathleen is shocking the girls. Tried multiple time with modded and unmodded versions of the game.

Decided to try the compressed version unmodded. Still got an error at the same spot, but the traceback log is different. It also says memory error, so I opened up task manager while it was going, but my memory usage never even hit 60%. Then game crashes when this happens so it's nothing I can skip past.

Memory errors in Ren'Py games are fixed by changing the renderer to OpenGL (Shift + G).

Just tried and that fixes the crashing issue, but it causes a different problem. There is now a screen flickering problem. Been dealing with that for a long time which is why I always switch to angle/direct x renderer.

Ha! You were expecting a preview or bonus image this week, but it was me, TD with a dev diary!

The writing and art portion of development has concluded. The tentative totals for Ch4Up5 are thus:

3,657 static images, 86 animations, and 66,109 words.

That works out to 138 images, 10 animations, and a breezy 891 words added to the project over the last week.

There's the usual litany of tasks still needing to be done to get it in your hands, but a late December release for our Club Owners is looking more likely than last week. A concrete release date will be provided once its in our proofers hands, with the caveat is that Christmas is looming around the corner. Availability may be understandably sketchy.

So we'll see. Fingers crossed. Either way, the update is just around the corner.

By the way, I have mentioned how wonderful and handsome you're all looking? Cause you are and you do.

What?? No! I wasn't expecting a dev diary this week! I thought for sure I could bake my Christmas cookies in peace and be all ready for a happy update next week. Now Christmas is ruined! Ruined!! I mean, I do still have happy numbers a week early *and* delicious cookies. And speeding up the next likely release date is obviously a good thing, so that's nice, too. But my schedule is all wrong, and that leaves a mark! :cry:

Oh well, we shall just have to soldier on in the face of this misfortune. TD's numbers translate to - let me do the math here - 138 images, 10 animations and 891 words per week in the seven days since the last dev diary. Overall, that gives as an approximate rate of 100 static images, 2.4 animations and 1815 words per week since work on Chapter 4 Update 5 began. Here are the charts for Week 36:

It sounds like the artwork is just about complete, so presumably its just a matter of final assembly, polish, and testing. I still think early January is a distinct possibility with the holidays bearing down on us, but December is no longer just an outside shot. Surprise notwithstanding, I have to say I'm feeling the comfort and joy. :D
