Anyway, you just saw in this latest update a photo of Edwin's dad, and as Rosalind points out (and as Victoria pointed out in an earlier chapter), Edwin is the spitting image of his father.
Chuck is aware of Edwin way before the physics club. Only reason Chuck advises the physics club is because Ian goes to that school. It has also been mentioned that Victoria and Edwin have spent Thanksgiving with Ian's family, Chuck included. No reason to assume that started during high school.
I wasn't trying to imply Vicky couldn't get any if she tried.
Rather I think she didn't really care to try until the porn shoots, which then awakaned a desire for a pretty specific kind of sex: the one where she gets fucked stupid by a dominant guy on camera.
I'm saying while Vicky disliked the circumstances of her porn shoots, she did enjoy the process of filming them and was willing to use an excuse to get a couple more kicks.
Somewhat similiar to Rose hooking up with Edwin in week 2.

So 6 at minimum if you want to continue all routes.
Maybe add another 2 for Rose and Kat variations
Family friend was ironic. It was meant to show that there's a connection between Chuck and Victoria through Ian and Edwin.
Now picture this:
Chuck learns from Ian that his best (and only) friend Edwin has gotten into trouble with the police multiple times in a short period of time. (assaulting bullies + backstory choice) Probably facing expulsion from school, too.
You've met Edwin's mother and she's a hot piece of ass. You don't want Ian to end up alone at school, but Victoria doesn't need to know that.
She only needs to know you have friends in high places within the local police departement and school board.
You can make Edwin's problems go away, but you want something in return. Maybe a couple of movies.

Well, that attempt at irony has backfired rather badly, because the confusion it produced aside, it makes even less sense Victoria would be doing porn flicks at behest of someone who was pretty much a stranger to her, with two degrees of separation and little to no personal contact.
Edwin was a kid in middle school when he's done his backstory things. What trouble with the police? Any and all legal liability for his actions was on his mother. Furthermore, the Carnation club only exists for 4 years or so. There's no reason to believe Chuck would have any real pull with local police and/or school board to speak of at the time Edwin was having his episode. These people only become members of the club some good half decade later, maybe even more.

2. I've realized I try to go through Pale Carnations updates the same way I do manga chapters, where I want to drink every new panel/render as the visual they've been crafted as so that I can appreciate all the work going into it.

When Chuck want's something he will go after it. Relentlessly. Just look at his chess games with Sophia. Leverage just makes it easier.
No law expert, so I dunno who would be liable in the end, but either way Vicky might face custody issues. Not something she wants to deal with.
A police investigation is specifically mentioned in conjuction with the backstory choice, not sure about the bully stoning incident.
Wouldn't be surprised if the bullie's parents at least threatened police involvement.
You think Kat, August and Chuck founded the club and started screening for members afterwards? Or just invite random rich people to join?
Chuck is basically a local celibrity, with enough money to throw around that everyone wants to be his friend and a reputation that dissuades people from becoming his enemy.
He is also a long time friend of Kathleen, who's married to a judge.

Not like he needs much pull anyways. Edwin's fuck-ups are minor from the police's perspective. Easy to drop such an investigation if a powerful man reassure's them it's unnecessary.
However, from Victoria's pov the consequences of those investigation could be horrendous. Better to do everything in her power to stop them.
Very hard to decide on which route to commit, thought this version would be finally decided but nah gotta wait another one before locking in.
Feels like the game tries to tell you something but then it stops immediately leaving you second guessing everything, which just keeps going on forever and repeating the whole process.
Some questions i have that could potentionally drag on forever are, can Mina get back to Ian, what will happen with Mina after the party, she met a lot of people, what the hell are her kinks or secret list, will we ever finally find out. With Hana i have a general idea what to expect, but Mina is so unknown, especially this update.

Thing is your theory doesn't make sense if chuck made victoria do porn then her reaction when edwin tells her about the recommendation for the job would have been more scandalous, even Ian's mother tells us that both are pretty awkward to each other (more victoria than chuck)

No, but there's at least 4 years between Edwin was acting up and the club was established (which in itself was 4 years ago) and Chuck would already have to have influence over police and school at that point, meaning it'd have to start considerably earlier. At that point August was little more than your basic pimp and i don't know if Kat had any influence over that relief foundation she is now managing, or if it was still her sister's. It is very presumptuous to believe any of them had a fraction of influence and/or contacts they enjoy now. Heck, it's an open question if Chuck was even around or still at his previous job and not really in position to play any silly games.
You are applying situation from "now" to 8-10* years ago. But it had to be different and considerably weaker, otherwise it'd mean Chuck and friends spent nearly decade not gaining any influence or contacts whatsoever. Which would be the height of incompetence.
*) or more. Do we actually know what year it is in the game? Victoria's first movie dates back to 2009, but i don't remember the game stating the "current" year anywhere.
edit: Edwin gets to view recording of 2017 edition of the exhibition, so i'm guessing it's 2018 or so? Not sure if that recording is from previous year or couple years back.

What a nice update and happy new year to you all. Just questions, sorry if it has already been asked.
Since I dicthed my old saves I started fresh, fell in love with Rosalind and Felicia. Before I was classic and always took Mina/Hana path, but now I have been illuminated lmao. Definitely my headcanon lol, while Hana I keep her as a friend not really liking her sex friend path, as for Mina I think she'll be better finishing up with rather Hana or Veronica.
So, for Rosalind using the universal gallery unlocker I could see what I hadn't, what interest me is to unlock the scene when she is at the appartment with him. I didn't take the deal since I am helping her for free, I resolve her problems through the club, I mean Warren was here, I couldn't have the scene where they're intimate the one in a loving way (just after watching TV). How could I have it in my save ? And is she staying at the appartment now ? Used URM since apparently I couldn't suggest her to stay but since she doesn't give any answer... I found it weird lmao, missed the kiss at the concert too, no joke I am not understanding what's needs to be done.
As for Felicia, it's the kiss at the concert, I haven't choosen the threesome with Mina so maybe there that. Oh and if it can help I dated her without accepting the deal either, I mean the time she suggest money nor did I use the opportunity for Rosalind.
Almost forgot, in toughness I don't know where I'm at if it can help, I think I am probably something a bit above mischievous, do I need to play pure ? For the rest, very good game interest me more and more after each update. Looked a bit through Kathleen's scenes too and I must say I am intrigued by her path.
If no one answer it's fine, I'll be replaying it once the walkthrough mode get updated anyway.

Did you never realize we're already into 85% of week 4 ? What do you think will happen ?
We are in week 3, we will see the third weekend event in the next update. Week 4 is the finale

If you "fell in love with Rosalind", don't treat her like a sex object during dinner, it won't get you anywhere. Watch her reaction after your answers. And don't forget that she likes reading romance novels, it will help you.
This is what I would advise if you want to open the scene after dinner yourself.

we're in week 3. so we still have 1 more whole week.
You need to choose the correct dialogue options while you have dinner with her, a bit of trial and error is enough for that.
