How does the saying go? "Everything in the world is about sex, except sex. Sex is about power?"
But I don't agree with that quote. I just think there are better ways of selfless giving. A warm hug, for example, is imo a much more wholesome gesture of love and trust.
Eating a woman out is an act of giving physical pleasure without getting physical pleasure for oneself - so I think this fits the bill for being submissive. But of course its also used to gain power over a woman by giving her something she wants. Not very selfless. I guess most men probably expect something in return - to get blown, to get sex, or even just to have the relationship continued. In this case cunnilingus would be a sign of acting from a position of weakness.
And I think there needs to be a lot of mental gymnastics involved to convince oneself that it's not degrading to put one's mouth in places that are used to urinate - or to extrapolate - used to defecate, like during anilingus.
At least that's my view of it.
