I'm personally of the view that pirating more often than not exposes people to content that they wouldn't have seen and thus actually expands the customer base of real purchasers. Same doesn't really apply to modders

Streaming has clearly shown that people are happy to buy stuff so long as the content is affordable and accessible.

Not to mention pirating from someone in their own thread would be a new low. You'd surely have to share the mod in another thread

I still think it's funny when people conflate F95 with piracy, completely ignoring how something like 90% of the content here is available for free to the public already. Sure there is sometimes 'Patreon Exclusive' content that gets leaked early, or you'll see the odd Steam release or translated JPN title. But seeing as how more and more of those options are generative AI shovelware and MTL garbage fires? Really, the 'pirates' are the ones trying to actually sell that shit.

Even if we agree with that premise, I love how you minimise the very real piracy to the games that aren’t “garbage fires” like Eternum, Friends in Need. I don’t understand why you can’t accept that this website has piracy lmao. It’s not a conflation when it absolutely happens and is encouraged.
