Alderian News - What's next?
First and foremost, thank you to everyone bearing through out transitional phase right now, bugs aside, we hope you guys are enjoying the improvements made to the inventory system and the new replacement artwork in the prologue.
I wanted to talk now about what the future plans will be for the game over the next few months, (or at least, out timeline plan).
As many are aware, we do plan to sell this game on Steam in the coming months, but want to make sure the game is in as good a state as possible for early access, with that said, below is the rough update timeline planned:-
-May/June update - Time estimate (6 weeks) - This updates priority focus will be getting the Adventurers guilds D-Tier quests up and running, the player will be able to play a series of mini-quests (some with lewd action) in return for rewards. (Quest board will be ranked from D to S tier, but only D-tier quests will be available at first). We also plan to add content for Captain Nyx and a few smaller scenes for various character. We will TRY integrating the travel mechanic as well, but it will come down to time.
-July update (1 month) - This update will be another tech build. This one will focus primarily on adding stats to enemies, (hopefully) adding the final combat feature and allowing players to level up via XP. We'll also look into replacing any final art and things + general bug hunt maintenance duties.
-August/September (Possibly 6 weeks) - The Mages of Palam questline. Complete with Sister Divine and her various students, an additional character may get some content for those not into Futa.
October/November- We'll be looking at a tech update/looking into wrapping up Act 1 ... Which will focus heavily on Regina.
Common questions I expect to answer:
Why only a rough timeline?
-The last thing I want to do is dissapoint people, stuff happens, massive bugs show up in testing, art pieces we realise are still missing or sometimes ... a scene needs a overhaul because it just doesn't work as intended. So, the timeline is the 'plan' but there is always the risk something comes up that could delay us.
When will saves be compatable?
-Our hope is with the final feature implemented and once we're mostly done with the heavy engine changes, saves can and will at least be somewhat more stable. There's no guarantee saves will 100% always work, but we're going to try get it as close as we can. This is one of the first things we'll be looking closer at to see what can be done after we get the game to a state we're happy with.
Why is Regina in October/November?
-A major point to Regina's story ties into the end of Act 1 + we simply have so much work to do as is that can't be neglected. While we'll try get in some scenes in the meanwhile for her, suffice to say, we have a lot of work to do but I can promise her plotline is going to be awesome!
I encountered a bug ... What should I do?
1.) FIRST, delete persistent data and see if bug still appears ... If it does, see step 2.
2.) Please, please, report bugs into bug-report on the discord or PM directly.
3.) If there is an error code, please copy and paste and show it to us.
4.) Tell us what build of the game you're on and whether you are playing on PC/MAC/Android/Linux.
