Alderian News (Brief)



Hey guys,

progress is going good with the latest update, I've tried not to harrass you guys too much with endless "It's coming soon" posts, but, I think it's also important to let you guys know we're still alive and progress *is* being made.

I don't have much more to add then that so far, we DO plan to finally have the update out this month. Here's some additional changes and teasers for you guys to check out~

Nijah revamp (Above - wip)


Campsite (forest version) above - As the player travels around the map, once the 'travel' mechanic is fully integrated the player may occasionally need to set up camp for the night, where all sorts of weird and wonderful *cough* lewd *cough* things can happen!

1500 gold coins for a hooker in this game... damn
British half sovereign weight 4 grams
Its 6 kilos of gold for one fuck! you will be forced to go around with the cart full of gold just to buy yourself a hooker. :KEK:

this is very common mistake fantasy books\games do thinking of medieval currency as modern paper money.
more over value of gold was significant.
In the 14th century, for example, a full suit of plate armor could cost around 100 pounds
majority of common trade was made in silver and even copper.
I suggest adjusting prices by removing at least one 0.
make them some what reasonable.:D

Hi, just get through all available quests, maybe theres till something left undiscovered but overall pretty good job done here.

There are just few things that I think should be mentioned as some sort of "constructive criticism":

Before your departure for doomed expedition if MC gets to whore hunt and ends up with Nijah - her description and "avatar" didnt match her depiction in scene image (most noticeable missing pircings and chains). Also, pls give us change to let her keep this jewelry even if she becomes food seller. Also - during sex scene in market shes looking like someone else (isnt that Adara pictured?!?)...

Same thing can be said for scenes with Ves - shes heavy build and muscular (ofc, shes Orc), but in scene images shes more like ordinary human.

In some dialogues Caspian shows in his naked form, but in reality he shoul be in parasite form or dressed.

After fight with giant hellfrog there is scene where beast is slained with purple blast, but text sais its tongue was cut with blade.

Also, during first fights using parasite forms your charactes do same DMG and suffer same as in their human form, This doesnt make sense, youre supposed to be much stronger and durable than ordinary human. Also, I would expect unique set of skills than ordinary basic and powerfull attact (MC has tentacles, what about capability of attacking multiple opponents?). Even more - one of main sources of income is Demorai hunting in Valley of Death, but you keep hunting them in human form, contrary to some dialogues where you discuss necessity to practice fighting in new form etc.

And las thing is unability to manage equipment of everyone else. Markus should use some armor too, and maybe more healing potiuons on his belt too. Also, I expected to be able, after getting myself huge blue wolf, to be able to take her with me to some adventures.

I undestand this is still early version, so lotsa changes would happen, but still wanted to chare my opinion.

What a serious concern, people can't fap only because of that :Kappa: Boner is ruined because just that fact breaks immersion, nevermind other hundreds of fantasy things present in the game, just that one mistake makes everything else totally unbelievable. Because the audience here obviously thinks of the amount of money wasted during sex scene and not about a piece of fine boobs'n'ass in front of them. Of course.

Yep, continuation of that cliffhanger is certainly in our hearts, because 'tis not profitable for the dev to release it so early, better to gather more drooling audience, hook them on some hopes and expectations about forthcoming content , then milk them for more money for as long as possible. "We're just getting here, guys, hang on, need moar development time! Wait here, we're going to do other branch\quest line\character story first! And then another one! After that we're going to a make a complete remake/rewamp of existing scenes and story with a new art, add new features to a game mechanics, make an overhaul of interface. Don't forget to like and subscribe".

last i checked on this game was in june. was quite impressed with the regular updates back then and kinda hoped it to would continue like this.
well, seems the monthly updates went out the window. but not that big of a suprise ngl, most projects on this site follow the same trend of slower and slower updates until at some point its only the version numbers that changes
great content tho, i must say

well, seems the monthly updates went out the window. but not that big of a suprise ngl, most projects on this site follow the same trend of slower and slower updates until at some point its only the version numbers that changes
great content tho, i must say
Unfortunately, the old schedule of monthly releases was slowly killing the game internally.

Yes yes, regular updates = more patrons before some smarmy git quotes this comment, but from a tech and art debt standpoint it was becoming unmangeable even with the time now as optimised on our budget as we can get it.

Basically, this is what would happen:
>Update would need say 10 art things done because of the limited time, to which we would get 7-8 and go, 'Oh, we'll add the missing 2-3 art pieces next month.'

The same cycle would repeat, and eventually you end up with something like 20+ art pieces missing.

Another major problem was that resources could either go one way or another, focusing on adding content or focusing on solving problems, growing tech + art debt, hence the delay on this update as we've now dealt with a majority of major issues that have persisted since the 0.149.

-Combat now is far more dynamic, levelling up is available in the game as well as additional features just as a perks system and more, we'll be able to get the game multi-language due to some re-working of the code instead of just being available in english, art across the board is also increasingly more consistent and high quality and finally, as a temp measure while this is on-going you'll be able to jump in as close to your old save as possible by selecting choices you've made.

I plan post this update to try get things back to a bi-monthly release.

I've been thinking about changing the name of the gold into a actual currency so it makes more sense. :coffee:

I'm honestly very excited for the combat update. Min/Maxxing a character build in a porn game is just plain fun to me, no idea why.

If you willing to put some time in to it.
You can reduce unreasonably high numbers by implementing
simple system like:
10 copper = 1 silver
10 silver = 1 gold
thus Shani will be asking 1 gold 5 silver for her service
and luxury hooker Arwen will be asking 15 gold (1500 right now) respectively
This would be a more elegant solution.:geek:

i appreciate the answer!
as i said, the content is rly great.

as a dev myself (non-gaming rel) it sounds like u r slowly drifting into dev hell. i'd suggest u put some time into a solid project management methodology. for a project like yours an agile approach would prob fit quite well (2 week sprints seem reasonable for something like that).
never thought i'd ever rec a project manager, but here we are :oops:.

even tho my colleagues and i are complaining about our pm on a daily basis, i remember the times when she was not around and tbh it was pure chaos at times. missing deadlines was the least of our problems back then.

as i said, the content is rly great.

as a dev myself (non-gaming rel) it sounds like u r slowly drifting into dev hell. i'd suggest u put some time into a solid project management methodology. for a project like yours an agile approach would prob fit quite well (2 week sprints seem reasonable for something like that).
never thought i'd ever rec a project manager, but here we are :oops:.

even tho my colleagues and i are complaining about our pm on a daily basis, i remember the times when she was not around and tbh it was pure chaos at times. missing deadlines was the least of our problems back then.
I'd say we were drifting into dev hell but we're coming to the end of the major stuff we needed to do that slowed us down, both tech wise and revamping a shit ton of art ... There's still stuff to be done, but thankfully we've cleared a lot and we're more organised now: Everyone has cclearly defined roles (especially art wise) that mitigate a lot of the old clunkiness we used to have.


Hopefully the update though will speak for itself and show we haven't just been fucking around.

Man i can't wait to try the new battle system. I want to enjoy juicy asses too, but the battle system is nº1 priority at this moment. I hope we can evolve Parasite Black into a whole new experience for the new users!
