Please remove the battles, they are fucking obnoxious. The art is gorgeous but I honestly dont know how you thought a combat system would be good idea in a porn game. :|

Combat is being reworked heavily including its animations, along with UI etc, but we will not be removing it.

While its going to have a lot of lewd scenes, parasite Black's goal is to be solid RPG in its own right, with what we hope, will be a compelling story.

As such, It's best to think of the game more broadly as an Adult game, rather than a straight up porn game.

From what I saw of the prologue it dose'nt look like anythings been changed, the card game tutorial still isn't there but my interest was in seeing if I could get the game to function so I didn't read the dialogue. As for the grinding yeah its a bit of a pain but im sure as the amount of content grows there will be more incentive to go out and do it, yeah the game is suffering from spareness but it's still early days yet give them some time. As for the play from Act 1 you have posed a good question I suppose what you do in the prologue dose'nt effect the game latter or it will require a new playthrough at some point.

What you do in the prologue will affect the game, it just doesnt right now.

We added the 'skip' prologue button due to the issues around save compatability at the moment, but it's a more of a temporary plaster solution.

I didn't bother grinding combat further after getting the bronze dagger and saving the orc, but even with blacksmith girl scenes (which I didn't see) I doubt it would amount to 20k words.

Well...you're wrong.

The reason things feel so 'sparse' is we had to to focus on introducing locations, characters + generally focus on moving the story along.

We also at the time had more limitations around budget and time that are (slowly) begining to relax thanks to more Patreon donations, which means we can afford more lewd content.

Some choices should alter dialogue,
but I believe in a RPG with actual choices, so there will be branching paths, some small, some larger.

As I said before. This is looking good so far. I am eager to see where this project goes.
The story reminds me of The GUYVER. Where the hero becomes a super bionic soldier vs the Zoanoids.
Original manga and anime are great, but even the American movie is cheezy goodness Starring Mark Hamill and Jeffrey Combs (Cmdr Shran, Weyoun and Liquidator Brunt).

Anyway, it looks good so far. Still some rough edges, but overall a promising beginning.

Found this game while looking for some Taffy info and am glad i did, some bug here and there(major one being lock in battle) and the game over after loosing was a surprise(thank you autosaves) but is really good, looking forward to see what happen to Kiara and to get more scene with Regina, Erika, Adara, Celeste, well with all the ladies hopefully you guys add more MILF characters. Also i saw a scene on the bordello and some images of Regina and Erika can we see them in-game now or in future updates?

Ok so the scenes in the game so far are, Prologe : 2 for Regina, 1 for Adara or 2 for Nijah depending on choice, 2 for Kiara. Act 1 : 1 for Regina, 3 for Arlena and 1 I havent found yet. I dont think Erika has any content yet.

Note for Devs : Once all the kinks have been worked out a gallary would be a nice addition and if some scenes are choice dependant like the Adara or Nijah choice in the prologe a small hint system could be added on top of that to help the replay value.

I am really into the story now and invested in the characters. Instead of heading to the tavern, I chose to go with Markus after the news that both of you were going to join the Scouts. I quite enjoyed the scene with Nijah, and I would love to see more content with her. Story-wise, it obviously could work in easily when the MC visits the Pleasure District. However, I understand if that's not in the plans or if there's too much demand of other art for the game.

Despite what I said above, though, I thought Adara was very cute. I did reload and take the other choice temporarily to see the handjob scene with her, but ultimately my save going forward (for now, anyway) is with Nijah. I am looking forward to what will become of the dead Kiara, now that . . . dark mages? . . . have found her body. What happened with the Seventh is definitely sad, especially the deaths of Kiara and Captain Duprey. I guess we just didn't get to know Borras enough for me to be as sad over his death, gruesome though it was.

And, of course, I also had to save Ves, spy on Regina in both the prologue and after she gets her toy in Act I, and develop the relationship with Arlena and get all of her lewd scenes. And why wouldn't you apologize anyway? Let the past die in the past and move forward. It's a good life motto in general.

I'm very much looking forward to where you and the rest of the team take things from here. Thanks for sharing your game, Lostraven!

While there's not a lot content right now, honestly i'm extremely eager for the next update, it's rare to see a protagonist together with his buddy got infected and still buddy buddy instead of becoming an enemy!

But to be honest, can you please fix the combat system? the combat, in my lack of word, horrible. When you click on attacking (normal/superpower) you will be locked in that state and can't cancel it, but the most extreme example might be in the prologue battle where you will face 2 enemy in a row, in the last wave if you kill the middle enemy first, and when you attack, either the 1st or 3rd enemy can't be selected, and if only 1 enemy exist after you pressed attack button the enemy can't be selected and you will be forced in that state forever unless you restart the battle...

That's the only thing i can think of, other than that this is a great concept! I look forward for the completion of this game!

This happened for me as well. I personally just forced myself into the habit of avoiding clicking a combat action until I'd already decided for certain that it was what I wanted to do. I found it very helpful to save at the very beginning of a fight in most cases; in some cases where it was possible (based on the description / dialogue) to see there would be multiple fights in a row, I saved just before the first one started. Then, if I made a bad miscalculation or whatever, I could just reload and try the fight again to get it right.

I only saw something similar with the combat once. That shouldn't be a normal limitation. Also, I can't remember what it was now, but I ended up figuring out why it had happened and the reason made sense. (Maybe it was something like an enemy in the first position being out of reach of the ally in the third position? Like I said, I can't remember now.) I didn't dislike the combat like you seem to, but I did notice a bit of what you've described.

Hey there, I'm from the dev team, dropping important message here:
PB is very early in development.
Renpy is a VN engine. The game's aiming to be a sandbox RPG. That means alot of under-the-hood "horizontal" work, to lay in all the feats' groundwork. Vertical building is happening in parallel too, most of it you'll see during next year. Bottom line is, don't rely on saves and expect non-story stuff to change coming months.

The design itself was finalized & sealed only recently. Expect a more comprehensive development roadmap near January/February.
Mechanics-wise, we're working on adding leveling, world nav, party system, time and more.
Along this, we're reworking existing mechanics: location navigation & combat.
Keeping the game playable & appealing while doing all that is our top priority, but it's a challenge in itself, so again, don't rely on saves and expect stuff to change.

As for silly bugs such as combat lock, these will be gone once we inject another implementation of the combat sys that was in-dev this month by a fresh programmer in our team.
