Okay- I'm definitely thinking you are assuming a few facts not in evidence- but I'm still here for it. That analysis was epic!To address some of you statements, in no exact order.

Care to elaborate a bit? I might be able clear some things up for you.Okay- I'm definitely thinking you are assuming a few facts not in evidence- but I'm still here for it. That analysis was epic!
1) The arguments are valid and sound with general regards to the specific typing of parasites/roles withing a hive-mind culture- but there are such an extreme multitude of situations amongst social insects it is a little difficult to make assumptions about how real life parasites or social insects might be analogous to these hive-mind parasites without first having a general understanding of their origin story / the environment the species evolved in.Care to elaborate a bit? Science bitch? Nah. I'm just a guy who grew up watching Discovery Channel and Animal Planet back when they had genuinely educational material on the air. Couple that with a few too many hours spent watching Roanoke Gaming on YouTube and you can figure out pretty easily how I came up with all that. What are you, some kinda science bitch?
Joking aside, that is some astute reasoning and observation. It makes sense. But I feel like there is a distinct chance that the devs didn't really consider all that and just made some cool looking monsters. Still, everything you write about the insect like hive structure and what we've seen so far checks out.
Markus makes it a point in most cases to defer to the MC in their quest for a mate, even before the parasite. He is a wingman for MC x Adara. He gives first dibs on Kiara to the MC and goes off to find his own random blonde in the camp. He never made a pass on MC's mom or sis I think.
However, there are some clues that deviate from this. MC and Markus are both smitten by Celeste and jokingly argue about who got dibs on her lol. I doubt this is cause for real friction between the 2, but it certainly wouldn't be surprising if sharing and tag teaming bitches is on the horizon (optional, most likely). If I wanna force some symbolism, I might even refer to her hair color curiously being split into the 2 parasites' colors. "I take the black side, you take white bro!"
Also, there is one big trope that leads me to believe that friend turning into enemy actually has a pretty high chance of happening. You must be registered to see the linksA scene like this early in the story is often foreshadowing for friction in the relationship. A lot of times, it does get resolved in a bittersweet way like the ex-friend saving the MC at a pivotal moment, but I think it does signify an arc where they turn on each other, not because of hate, but because their convictions are at odds with each other.

I have two responses to your first point. Firstly while you are correct that there is an extreme level of variation within the different species of insects and parasites, there is also a fair degree of commonality between them too. Almost every ant species I know of has colonies comprised of a queen, workers, and soldiers with some species having auxiliary units that serve specific roles in response the the environment they are in. They only ants, that I know of, that break this mold are Slave Raider ants as they have no worker class and have to steel workers from other colonies hence the name.1) The arguments are valid and sound with general regards to the specific typing of parasites/roles withing a hive-mind culture- but there are such an extreme multitude of situations amongst social insects it is a little difficult to make assumptions about how real life parasites or social insects might be analogous to these hive-mind parasites without first having a general understanding of their origin story / the environment the species evolved in.
2) Secondarily it is just generally difficult to wrap my head around how sapience would effect a society that was also a suite of biologically diverse parasitic individuals- that was also a hive mind. Particularly one in which every member could reproduce.
Maybe you have some thoughts on the second notion- if you do I'd be very interested to hear them.
Swinging content would fucking suck tbh, it just feels cucky and make the mc look weak in my eyes atleastSpeculation on the role of Marcus in the narrative:
Now- I might be wrong here. But I think the role of Marcus will be used to show what a fall from grace by having a poor relationship with your Parasite might be.
I suspect he might become a villain by becoming power crazy or become totally submitted / killed by his parasite because he failed to meet the conditions.
It would provide a narrative contrast piece and a sense of urgency / horror to the idea of the MC having a parasite as well.
Speculation on Swinging ect:
Minor clarification. Marcus and the MC have similar powers but not identical. Marcus seems to be some sort of bull-like creature whilst the MC's parasite versions seems to be some sort of badass tentacle monster.
While there might be some swinging content in the game. (Perhaps with w/e Harem Marcus builds) 3 things really make this feel like it will be a small part of the game at most.
1) Swinging and NTR (Netorare, Netorase) were not listed in the planned tags.
2) The MCs sexual powers / powers as a tentacle monster means he can pretty much satisfy an entire harem at once - so no one gets left out of the fun / feels like they aren't getting enough action.
3) The game has 0 focus on swinging content so far. All of it is MC and gals.
If I had to guess, The old artist vamoosed, a new one took over, and the two redesigns were the newbie's proof of skill. What have the done, why did they change the mothers model, the original was far better.

Ragina is fine. The change in appearance was jarring but it can be adapted to. Honestly I kind of like the fact that she now looks to be the age I figured her to be. The real bitch about it is the fact that the two animations we already have with her are based on the old design and them still being in the game, I think, is further exacerbating the visual whiplash. The artist who did some of the original designs like Adara's face etc is gone,
We want to move in a more consistent art direction hence that's part of the goal with the revamp.
As well, Regina I think personally looks far better now, but we might tweak the character, we'll see.
What system? So it's unplayable sadly, I'm getting an error the moment the combat attempts to start.
If your using an old save the battle system wont load, try starting a new game.So it's unplayable sadly, I'm getting an error the moment the combat attempts to start.
Putting aside my dislike for Reginas new facial features. While playing I felt her height really jarring when the player character had just trasformed into a gigachad. its seems like a small thing but can really be unimmersive when female standing pictures have that mommy like stature over the mc.I hope you pay attention to that in the future. The artist who did some of the original designs like Adara's face etc is gone,

Ok so to defeat the second wave at the fort in the prologue, first make a save, use the debuffs that your allies have on an enemy that does not have them or their normal attack on an enemy that has been debuffed and heavy attack on your main, focus on one enemy at a time, if the mc or allies health drops below 35 - 40% use a 50hp potion from the satchel as that character wont lose an attack, if you use a 30% heal potion it will cause you to lose an attack. The strategy isn't 100% effective as if the enemies focus on and kill one of your allies to early your pretty much screwed but this strat does have a high chance of success with both the original rule of 2 battle system and the current rule of 3 battle system.stuck in combat with the armoured giants with large blue axes, at the first mission with Markus and Kiara, can't seem to defeat them - any cheats here???? or help to get past the fort
