Well, there's no incest scenes yet. We're getting hints of mother/son though, and it wouldn't surprise me if the sister becomes available later on as well.

I'm not sure where the dev plans to do with Markus tbh. Pre parasite he kinda looked feminine pretty boy like and I assumed he was gonna get sissified or just get a gay romance route but him and the MC are clearly in a "bros before hoes" dynamic and they even fuck prostitutes together in the the Black Diamond, so I guess he is gonna be there only for swinging or double teaming when it will come to ero situations? I honestly burst out laughing when I saw them post transformation, they looked like the pillarmen straight outta JoJo lol.
Also the elf tailor, he looked pretty cute so I assumed he is gonna get gay/sissy treatment but now he seems to be getting genderbent. Honestly I think he looked better as is, all he needed to be was just a bottom. Turning him into a woman seems like a missed opportunity to me.

The soundtrack is superb. Novaras Light and Dark are great and great mood setters but then there's also experiments track with the synth that caught me offgaurd, The beginning of the Royal theme reminds me of the Gothic 1 and 2 ost composed by Kai Rosenkranz and the mid of the Valley of death reminds me of classic crpgs. Great stuff

Edit: There seems to be a huge performance issue related to the ero scenes but surprisingly it's inconsistent. Some scenes have slow downs and some scenes don't, some of the affected scenes also have partial slowdown for some reason. For example the Adara scenes which take place in the back alley with animated npc movement in the background are slow in its entirety while Arlena doggy and BJ have partial slowdowns (slowdown in the first half for the former and second half for the latter) and when these slowdowns occur only the CPU is at 100% capacity according to the task manager. Some of the Ves scenes have partial slowdowns too. I don't what format the animations files are in but they shouldn't be this resource intensive. I hope it gets resolved in the upcoming version.

Common issue for renpy games, actually. My guess is animations are made of static pictures that get layered over each other, with images on lower layers not getting de-loaded. Other authors did animations via making 2-3 looping frames through a script, and those weren't layering and neither were they causing CPU death

Ye, I just tested after deleting all renpy/game saves. And it doesn't work for me anymore either. No idea how i got it to work in the first place oO
Anyway i tinkered some more, here's the second attempt, now I've tested it after deleting everything, and it seems to work.
Try it again. As before just put it in the ParasiteBlack\game folder
What I tested specifically was starting from Act 1, not from the beginning, I don't think it should matter, but history would suggest I don't quite get renpy...
Oh, and maybe delete the old file if you still have it in your game folder

May be it was some dialogue / confession I should have avoided?

Hey guys,

sorry for the long bout of radio silence recently, this month has been difficult for us, but we are making steady progress and WILL be releasing an update this month.

I have no doubt there are many questions as to *why* there's been such silence recently and without going into too much detail, it's been a mixture of factors such as the holiday period, staff illness, and unfortunately some of our staff, including our animator live in regions like Peru which at the moment are very unstable and we've simply struggled to make contact with some of the team.

I myself was also on holiday, (it kept getting re-booked due to covid and while I did communicate and co-ordinate with the team from abroad I did not have my usual equipment with me).

We are looking long term into ways to prevent this from happening again, but this is the reality of having a small team spread across the world.

With all that said, the latest update is looking incredibly promising, and should not only move the main plot forward, but also:-

-Introduce some minor gambling

-Improved the travel mechanics

-There is now a much more intuitive shop mechanic

-More locations and more!

New church location (above)

A new fighting pit where can bet on monsters (Above)

MC's new armour and character model revision (Above)

The new shop interface (drag and pull items you wish to buy and sell!)



Anyway, that is everything for now, thank you to everyone who is still supporting us and has shown patience in this time. Soon the update will be ready and once again we're sorry for the recent radio silence.
