I'd rather not willingly work for that pyscho of an emperor if I can be honest. I mean he clearly knew for a good while that the foes he is facing are intelligent and capable of strategy. And yet he had been forcing people to take up the scout role and march out on the regular to die against them without preparation or being made aware of the truth.

I know we can debate the realities of war and emperorship till the cows come home, but just on a general principle of trust, I don't think I want to take orders from a guy who could very well be sending me to a deadly trap just so he could gain an advantage to further his plans.

Then again, he sure has both the MC and Markus passively threatened to do his bidding, so I guess in the end I probably won't have much choice. Especially given the love seeds my guy has been planting wholesale all across the city. But, that doesn't mean I have to get things done as commanded. Just like how you deal with the Thug lord in order to free Nijah from the debt, I sure hope we are given ways to get the desired results, but in our own way.

Yes, but a story conceit of modern writing is all-the-time that the protagonists never face uncomfortable realities for any length. They are all immediately badass/powerful/too clever/otherwise immediately maneuver themselves out of any such issues, and then stories just get boring.

I know it's "just" a porn game but personally if this is supposed to be dark fantasy at the very least I'd want that conflict of "goddamnit I gotta go along with this bastard and best I can hope for is that it'll be worth it (by some definition of "worth") in the end".

Doesn't have to be super depressing and omnipresent, but just ... be there in the background, simmering. "Subverting" some orders and schemes and such as a choice makes sense, but maybe also have it occasionally backfire a bit, or perhaps show that he knows what you are up to; that sorta stuff.

Sure struggling and forcing one to do bidding out of necessity, is understandable. But it isn't going to be much of a power fantasy if you are always playing second to some asshole who usurped the throne from a pacifist. Plus, some choices imply that the MC can even aim high and become ruler himself. While are those goals practical or just ambitions, still remains to be seen.

Either way, yes I do agree having to seethe and cope is the only way forward and I hope that remains so for a while. But, ultimately it'd be satisfying to turn the tables on him and not just have the story culminate with him getting celebrated as a grand monarch while the hero sits on the sidelines contemplating how unfair the world is, but ultimately it is what it is. That's just going to suck- having real life mirror virtual life as well, even with a special advantage like the dark passenger on your side =/

I believe that the MC currently has the full capacity to kill Emperor Alcott, but if he does so now everyone will be against him and the people he cares about will be in danger. The MC needs to create a reputation as a hero among the people and the emperor needs to do something extremely serious so that public opinion turns against him. I think that only then will he have a good excuse to fight Emperor Alcott.
But the problem with turning against the Emperor is that it could lead to civil war, and doing so while they are being threatened by the Demorai is not smart.

The Dark Passengers are immortal but their hosts get long lives of coital & combat bliss.

The symbiotes in this game are different from the ones in Marvel, as both MC and Markus have had their bodies modified to support the parasites inside them, so they are no longer fully human. If they still are, perhaps this process could have granted them a much longer lifespan than a human, not to mention the healing factor that the symbiotes provide to their hosts.

When she asked about why the people in charge lived better than everyone else, Caspian could say "We would be better off without them", Myu replied "think of all the people who'd be hurt".

I think we'll get the 'Evil' option to clip the Emperor. The consequences won't be pretty...

I believe that to remove the Emperor is possible, but not without starting a civil war and putting the kingdom into complete chaos, since trying something like that during a time of Demorai threat is basically making it easier for the enemy to annihilate everyone.

i really like the first appearance of the protagonist, normal and unasumming, the parasite making him gary stu with tall, muscular, big dick, and handsome face with zero effort is kinda falls flat, like a very vanilla cliche otome novel where everyone is good looking, rich, influencial, and powerful.
i mean, who would need an alien pheromones to attract women when you already looks like a peak male specimen in existence.

There are Ambitious dialogue options where Caspian can sound like a Doctor Doom like wannabe world conqueror.

After all, the game gives you the choice to pimp out Nijah & Mrs Winward. I think the game will let you be quite ruthless at a very steep cost to the rest of the world...

The good news is the update is closer than ever, only 1–2 sprites remain art wise, all content should be integrated in by the 10th, and I think Act 1 really does end on a hell of a *bang*. It's been a really challenging update to get out, but we're finally near the end... The bad news is I am currently on antibiotics after a throat infection and fever. Suffice to say, after losing 2-3+ days, I am now behind. To make sure things are released to the highest quality, I am going to extend the release date to the 12-13th. Hope you guys can understand, and I can't apologize enough. I can promise, though, we hope this update should be fantastic.

I can also confirm, sadly, there is some Regina content that was WIP which is lost forever, as the one artist who was working on it is now gone, the one we've been having issues with. I plan to talk about everything *after* this update is out.

I hope you feel better soon. I hope we learn more about Regina's past & the factions of Dark Mages in the next update.

Also will we get to mine Sjax or at least buy ore? RNG is preventing me from getting enough Iron for my last two Sword & Armor upgrades. Can Caspian set up a mining cartel with high barter & more gold than he can spend?
