AFAIK it's a remake, starting at Act II of the original. It's not the exact same story, and some gameplay elements have been modified, as well as some characters, but it's functionally the same game.

Ya I just played it, its lacking the charm of the original. Writing not as good. Ah well I'll check back in a year or so see how it shapes up.

Honestly I disagree. I didn't really like the previous art style. It wasn't really bad just a lot of awkward anatomy. The one pictures you used show cased this the first looks like she had a couple ribs removed and has a few extra muscles. This one every one is stylized with wacky proportions (not uncommon in porn) and a candy finish, but hey you work with what you've got and this works.
Art has always beem a matter of taste anyways, even thought i wouldn't call AI generated images 'art', it's still the same reason why some people like you didn't like the previous game artwork.

There's people here who hates furry art while others jerk of to it everyday. Same with AI generated images.

Wait did Parasite infection ever actually get finished? or is this a remake?

He skipped previous game and jumped to 2.

But this dev has been working on this game for what? 7 years? I dont think it's ever coming fully out

You can complain about the art all you want. While the last one had great art, it took a thousand years for anything to get done (partly because there's a dozen versions of each scene). AI can massively speed up the process while also adding unique scenarios, cheaply and quickly and with decent fidelity. Besides, HTML "games" barely count, and this coming from a guy who liked the old CYOA books of old. It's not just over... it's joever. The robots are coming, but I'll keep cumming.

I think this is was more on the developer. He kept jumping between projects, there's also seem to be some financial issues.

No, i will be coming on the robots and they say 'thank you' because they can't think... yet :BootyTime:

I understand *why* the author switched to AI art. I can't imagine ModeSeven was a particularly cheap artist to get ahold of. But quite frankly, I would have rather had no art at all. Its just a shame, since this rather specific niche, even as poorly coded, perpetually unfinished, and generally jank as the first game was, was still one of the best games you could get out of the fetish. I have hope that the switch to Godot and AI will make for a game more likely to be complete, but I will remain speculative of its quality.

This game is great so far as a fan of the OG game I can understand the want to use what the dev can to make it so much better then the old one, so far as a game it is better, the UI is ass for now but the UI in the old one was so busted and jank, The core game idea is there and I cant wait to see more!

He had another artist doing another set of artworks after modeseven disappeared, idk why he didn't hire him, probably financial issues.

I don't really mind the AI art, but I do mind that in the original, you could choose which parts to infest, whereas here it's just a checklist progression with extremely short H-scenes. The original was on-theme, allowing you to really savor the plan of putting a funny, squirmy boi in your sister's butt, whereas this version just slaps starfishes on everything that moves and then flies you to Mars. :( Zero tension, zero choice, near-zero scenes.

I would say I'm disappointed but honestly, what else do we expect from someone with a 7 year incomplete dev cycle, can't even say this is classic eternal dev patreon behavior because they apparently don't have any money I guess, but tbh if they're feeding the art from the other game into an imagegen to make the pictures for this then I doubt that.

Gonna give it time before judging it completely for now it's rough with all possible soft locks etc.

One thing I hope that we won't be instantly junping onto another chapter where nothing that we do in previous one didn't count and chapter 1 as it is is extremely lacking.

I hope there's more to the whole Mindfuck from diff. characters than what we have it was at least for me the best part of the previous game chapter II and here it's lacking apart of one scene all of them are the same and after that no progression that's atm my biggest disappointment but we will see game is young just hope we won't instantly be on chapter II where nothing that you did in chapter I won't matter.

The AI art isn't too much of an issue. It's serviceable and they seem to be taking the time to refine out oddities like six fingers.

The real issue I have is the writing seems to have been infected (no pun intended) with redpill incel nonsense. It's really distracting and adds nothing of value.
could you elaborate on this please?

This is for its first release:
Parasite Infection 2 [v1.07]

I did write a note while playing the game and must say as a first release is fine have way more content then many developers making there first release. I did test a few things along when problem arise, and of course there is problems, but many to all seems fixable, most is noted in the txt file. (not a native English speaker)

I played the game on windows full windowed with minor visual problems. The game was playable, loved the tutorial. In general i would love to see more added for the new players, that arent familiar with the concept/story as they might have trouble understanding.

The game pace seemed a little rushed, would love to see more with the NPC's, both in story and images. What is there is great, i have looked at what others have been saying that the writing have taken a fall... but i wouldn't say it is noticeable. I would still recommend it specially if you liked the first one. There is less content but that makes sense its not a full release.

AI art is fine specially when you are going to have MANY variations and possibilities. I think its a great choice and those who disagree can go to your politicians and talk to them about it. Its here to stay unless rules are made.

Now for those that goes after the developer... just stop.. Im not here to defend anyone but give my honest feedback, i also want to say its a bad look to talk about pricing on this website as most of us here haven't paid for a lot of things. So i see it as a tester and never as a finished product. If your looking for full fleshed out games, go on to the big platforms and stop being drama queens.

With all that said and done, most properly going to only read the small actual rating ill be giving but hope this have helped you make a decision about if you want to try it or not. if you played the first i would wait and if your new i would recommend playing it.

Rating: 7 out of 10

i dont remember the character names and i already uninstalled the game but off the top of my head, the blond is all about how can she use the people around her and shit like that until the werms make her realize all she wants is to be a breeder. One of the girls is very focused on her appearance to others and crafted this image over a long time and whatnot - not too bad on its own but with the context of the rest not great. The ex boyfriend literally gets so mad about the mc "breaking up over nothing" that it mutates the werm infesting him. Because of course the mc overreacted to nothing he only spoke to another girl. of course he did nothing wrong and has nothing to reflect on its everyone else who is wrong.

that's just what i remember off the top of my head without trying to go in and find the exact examples im thinking of and i assume the other person is referencing

Possibilities? Nah.
Variations? Maybe for brainstorming.
As a tool? For sure.

As a final piece of piece of artwork like most are doing now? Not of so long... specially with the growing resistance and copyright infrigment fiasco. It will be used as a ruler and compass more than anything else, or photography when someone didn't want to spend hours trying to make a living model stand still for a portrait.

The developer could probably come here, pixiv, patreon and ask if anyone is interested in replacing modeseven previous artwork for a better price. But he meshed three different artstyles in the previous game because he didn't want to replace modeseven.

Developer has jumped from HTML to Unity to Godot and never finished the OG game. He probably does it as extra income but still...the original HTML game should have been finished by now

You might not even know that the current OG game is itself a REMAKE of the original OG.
