I don't rely on reviews so i won't understand your Qualms with it but the game is v0.2.2 so 1/5 of it's completed phase meaning the review will vary the more update the game underwent.
Semantics, but version number doesn't determine how close the game is to release, it's just a way for the dev and players to keep track of development. The common notation is:
Minor updates: 0.0.1, 0.0.2, 0.0.3. Hotfix patches are usually notated with 0.0.1a, 0.0.1b.
Major updates: 0.2.0, 0.3.0, 0.4.0. So for example:
Version 0.2.1 means the game had 2 major updates and 1 minor update. Version 0.5.0 doesn't mean the game is 30% more complete than version 0.2, it just means there had been 3 major updates since then and 5 total major updates. The game can jump to version 1.0 whenever the dev decides it is completed. On the other hand, 0.9 doesn't mean the next version has to be release, the dev can keep going to 0.10, 0.11 until they feel the game is done.
It's good to keep this in mind so you can better keep track of how much a game is developed and adjust your expectations accordingly.
