Ren'Py Park after Dark [v0.26 Public] [SID Gaming]

sorry I haven't replied to the thread in a few days. been busy with some stuff. after combing through some wikipedia entries, you guys were right and I was wrong. that's on me
It's getting updated periodically, but there was a second game that was being developed about Winx that got axed because the main artist left, so a lot of time and effort got wasted. A third game was made based on Total Drama Island, so this has essentially lost its place in a cascading set of updates. If that makes any sense.

The Discord says that the PAD artist has also left, which is why there have been no updates for so long.

Damn the Park After Dark artist left too??? That's gonna suck. Hopefully someone else is able to match or exceed the art and it continues. Makes me wish that Helg still did Disney lewd art even if it was mostly tracing the head lol
If thats true, I dont think, that the game will cope the expectations from previous versions. Art style was main selling point for me, and I think many other. The resto of the game is mediocre - not bad, but not great either.
I'm sure they'll find an artist that can do the same style or close enough. SID has a loyal fanbase so if anyone in the fanbase can draw close enough, they might step up
Yeah if the artists left his projects it's pretty much done for.
Considering a few SID post on this forum, they seem to be ok, and all... but without that artist i doubt they can keep it going without drop in quality.
I was thinking we might get a water park type thing in a future update where we get the hot lifeguard from Lilo and Stitch or maybe even get Kida from Atlantis. either would be good imo

same reason i've followed this. the art has this certain something that makes it stand out from 'the usual'.
there are hundreds of management type games around here, makes it somewhat difficult to pick. this one has 'it'. or, had. we'll see.
for the winx game the artist was a scammer from what i saw on the patreon

PAD 5-31-25
Our artist has now been out of contact for over a month. As sad and frustrating as this is, rest assured that we are not going to give up on Park After Dark. We have started reaching out to other artists and are currently formulating a backup plan for how we can transition without causing a major style shift. Once we have this new plan in place, we will decide whether we can release the half-update featuring Pocahontas which was completed before the radio silence, or if we should supplement it in any way, or if we should proceed in a new direction with a new character. We will keep you all informed of any progress that is made.

PAD 6-7-25
We have commissioned a new artist to start on this game. Our plan is to change directions and start them creating a new event, featuring girls from a source in a slightly different art style than the main princesses, and we're doing this for a couple of reasons: first, if the original artist ever comes back, they can pick up right where they left off. Second, this takes the immediate pressure off the new artist a little, since they won't have to worry about matching the original art style immediately right out of the gate. We'll be posting previews once we have something to show, but for now, feel free to speculate on what's coming next!

Our new artist has started on some new character artwork. It took a few attempts, but we now have places that we're happy with for the bases, and currently the needed outfits and facial expressions are in progress as well. Once these are finished, we look forward to sharing previews. In the meantime, our writer will be working on the script for these new characters, so that we can roll right into new scenes and get everything ready for a new build as soon as possible.

That's right, everyone's favorite "basic, average girl" is coming to the park, where she'll be teaming up with MC to go on missions and solve mysteries in the various countries in the EPLOT expansion! Our plan is to split this event into multiple builds, so you can expect 1-2 scenes in this one in addition to the Pocahontas content that was completed by the previous artist. This is in order to get a new build out as quickly as possible.

I wonder if Bonnie is gonna be a villain? She was kinda a bitch but not really evil, and judging by the amount of porn people draw of her, a lot of people want Ron to fuck her and for it to be Kims idea.
Shego is the more likely villain candidate but honestly I would rather it be Bonnie since Shego and Drakken turn good in the end and make a fun couple. Having Drakken be your tech guy would be funny, lots of comedic potential with him and Grumpy.
