Downloaded the file from mega and it's 100% Passion OF Five files.
An explanation would be you already have a "game" folder where you unzipped the hotfix.
Just updated the game to 0.10.1 which includes the fix.

Am a little confused as this one is turning into a bit of a grind fest. So Nights of Amour ARE achievable with the current release? What might be needed to trigger that with, say, Evelynn?

I don't understand the whole question and don't know "Nights of Amour ARE" either, but I just tested it: When I start a new game and skipped all the texts it took just 5 minutes and 39 seconds to complete Evelynn's current route. So I wouldn't call that grinding. I didn't use cheats and had to use casandra 2 times.
If I had to read texts and find out which is the right present, it would take about 15-25 minutes. Depends on your reading skills.
