Not to mention in recent months patreon has utterly nuked several accounts of people who do adult content with ZERO warning and after there was a good buildup of funds before the account holder could access said funds effectively robbing those people of that moneySome sentences are in bold for emphasis.
Fzone has more leeway on allowing content, whereas Patreon has more restricted terms.
if i can recall, Patreon does not allow specific genres for content, such as incest for example. this being said, Fzone allows a much larger variety for genres for games. in all honesty, the majority of the games on Fzone are free to download through download mirror links. Patreon requires a person to become a patron and membership is also required. i would much rather get a game for free in more convenient means through a simple download rather than having to pay for a game.
here is an article that discusses and touches more on Patreon's terms.
You must be registered to see the links
you will have to scroll down a little bit, but look for the section that pertains to this specifically: "More specific Adult/18+ category guidance and clarity"
honestly after just reading the section i was referring to, i hope Fzone never chooses to acquire for Patreon, Patreon's terms not only are strict, but technically Patreon does not favor adult content. Fzone always will and that is what makes them a better adult community.
i hope the information i provided was resourceful to you.
The joke was on a big fucking red banner. It wasn't about your reasons (how should I know them?), just the explanation why it didn't work for April 1st.
But you do you.![]()
Man, you're on a piracy forum. 75% of the games, comics and animations, as well as 100% of the assets, available here have no rights to be available here.[...] and if they want to they can make it f95zone's problem. Legally. Which is a big problem. And one doesnt simply ignore legal problems.
Wow... I know it will sound harsh, and being me I don't care a single second, but you should seriously consider not engaging in discussion with a so low level of understanding. It would do you good, because you wouldn't be making a fool of yourself by systematically answer to something that is absolutely not what was said...The joke was on a big fucking red banner.
Then they would thank F95zone for bringing so many customers to them, but they wished for a more strict approach for Incest, Rape and Loli content.Man, you're on a piracy forum. 75% of the games, comics and animations, as well as 100% of the assets, available here have no rights to be available here.
Juggling with legal problems is what F95 do everyday, and this one would be really easy to solve.
F95 would simply answer to their email (because they have no other way to contact him) with something like, "oh, well, it was an prank for the first April, as you can see with the page, every link redirected directly to your site, precisely to avoid all suspicion of scam. The first April is in the past, if you want I transfer the domain to you, I have no problem with this."
And Patreon will then answer with "ok, do it, please", because they'll not spend 5 figures on a private to investigate, with absolutely no chance of success, in order to know who own the forum. And even less the 6 figures that would then be needed for an international lawsuit that wouldn't have more guaranty to succeed.
hook, line and sinker. fell for it completely...I wonder how many people nearly had a heart attack and thought about leaving F95Zone before they looked at the date.![]()
Im not gonna lie, I somehow totally forgot about thatMan, you're on a piracy forum.
They don't!Why does Patreon try to control the art and minds of people?
Why do so many people throw around "trigger" these days? Instead of making such narrow assumptions it would help if more people tried to look at the bigger picture and the WHOLE story!I understand that some people want a safe zone where topics that trigger them don't exist, but they have the right not to look at art that bothers them.
Patreon is not big enough, powerful enough or influential enough to decide that or even get a say in it. Countries, Corporations and Companies do and patreon has to follow their guidelines. It art is not hurting anyone then there should be no reason to restrict it.
...and there are rules for all of those too and patreon did NOT create them, they just have to follow them like everyone else.Everyone has their passions in life that inspire them and everyone has personal ideas of what they enjoy to watch.
Who exactly is making the rules and why doesn't other websites have to follow them? There are a lot of websites that host adult content that display sexual abuse and deviant behavior. They don't!

Patreon did NOT start as an adult / adults only support service, they started as a service for creators of all types and only later did erotica, porn, porn games etc. come along.
Now for the BIG picture / whole story
Patreon is a company, it needs to stay in business. Just like creators, patreon has rules and laws it HAS to follow, not just from CC companies but from countries and organizations.
In order to be successful, they need to make and maintain a safe, attractive and profitable environment for creators AND patreons AND visitors (potential new creators AND patreons)
If they choose to not follow / to fight the rules and laws, they run the risk of loosing investors, access to CC companies, getting blocked in certain regions etc. This all adds up to being less safe, less attractive and less profitable and potentially loosing members to other services or at worst shutting down.
TheYou must be registered to see the linkson patreon is small and within in that group are smaller groups, incest, rape, beasty etc.
Should patreon really risk it's business and the livelihoods of MANY other adult and non-adult creators just so a handful of dev's can add incest or beasty to their games? That does NOT make sense from a common sense standpoint, logical standpoint or business standpoint.
You asked "Why does Patreon try to control the art and minds of people?" that is you making 2 really big and INCORRECT assumptions.
1. patreon is in charge of making the rules
2. patreon has a choice of following the rules.
and to lay it out simply
1. If a creator wants to continue to use patreon they HAVE to follow the rules!
2. If patreon wants to stay in business they HAVE to follow the rules!
i.e. patreon is in the same boat as creators and yet instead of following the right course and trying to get the rules changed or at the very least blame the RIGHT group / groups, everyone just blames patreon.

Governments, Corporations, CC Companies etc.Who exactly is making the rules
They do !and why doesn't other websites have to follow them?
No one is talking about websites, we are discussing, in this context, companies that offer services, porn game dev's that use those services and porn game dev's that have been banned from those services. There are a lot of websites that host adult content that display sexual abuse and deviant behavior.
The rules seem fairly shady to me. Especially if the content is just art such as 2d or 3d drawn images or animation. I might understand if it's real people, but if the people are consenting adults and participate in a fictional piece of art it doesn't seem to make sense.Governments, Corporations, CC Companies etc.
They do !

" Patreon is a monetization platform operated by Patreon, Inc., that provides business tools for content creators to run a subscription service and sell digital products."
In order to reach the widest audience, patreon must use the most widely used payment options.
Those that run, invest and own those payment options have rules and patreon MUST follow those rules in order to use those payment options.
If they don't, the payment options will deny services to them and they will loose a large portion of their audience, running costs will increase, coverage will fall as well as leading to potential future legal troubles.
