This may be the policy of Patreon, but some members of their Trust and Safety team are very proactive.Oh definetly, that's why I personally believe that Patreon only really cares about maintaining the "Appearance" of having ban on certain kinds of porn.
I have no personal experience with this, but I read from other developers that a member of the Trust and Safety team mentioned what tags a certain game has on F95zone, although the developer does not mention f95zone on his Patreon page.
It probably happened after someone reported the game, but sniffing on f95zone to investigate the report is definitely much more than what Patreon needs to avoid problems with PayPal.
Probably some of Patren's censors feel that they are doing a useful job and they are trying to find every opportunity where they can intervene.
