Was just playing this and can never find the MC Pill. Tried the codes to add it to inventory and it comes up with an error, so they remove that as well? Means some achievements in the list can never be completed.
You talking about Teacher's Pets? The latest versions have been sanitised to take out the Pill as it goes against Patreon guidelines.

What happened to the Patreon alternatives? Patreon started with their witch hunt in October last year and so far no viable alternative has come up yet. Seriously disappointing.

Sponsorion is on its way, there's a post in the patreon alternatives thread about it:

Hi
Sponsorion caught my eye and I reached out to them with a few questions of the top of my head:

1: How will you handle vat for creators? Will you offer the same service as Patreon in this regard?

2: Will Payoneer be a part of your payment solution for transferring money from your site?

3: How about certain sexual fetiches, like incest, rape, mind control and such? Will they be allowed on Sponsorium?

4: Is Paypal going to be part of this?
_____________________________________________
Here is their response:

1. The payment processor we're in talks with for receiving payments, EmerchantBroker, does indeed handle VAT, so it will likely be similar to the service Patreon offers (automatically taking it into account). EMB is a 'high risk' processor that openly works with the adult content industry. Its rates are also highly competitive, with the initial rate of 3.95% +0.35c for new partners that will eventually fall to ~2.95%+0.35c (which is nearly identical to the rate [2.9+0.35] Paypal is giving Patreon).
High Risk processing has gotten a great deal more competitive over the past decade in general, although most of them
aren't capable of handling crowdfunding platforms.

2. Although Payoneer is, in practice, a major processor for adult content of all kinds, it appears their corporate policy is to deny this and refuse to work with companies that admit to having any interaction with the porn industry (even if the company itself is not involved in the porn creation). This is based on the last time we tried to speak with them, and suggests that they'll only work with us if we deceive them. That strikes us as a poor, rather unstable choice for our processing needs. Our current plan is to handle payouts by directly utilizing bank ACH services. Which is done by competitive payout handlers as well, they just have the process expedited / automated.
This does mean that payouts will work more like they did when Patreon was getting started (a few days after the start of each month). They probably also handled the ACH process themselves back then, although we don't know that for sure. In the long run we'll need to fully automate the payouts, but in the long run we'll also be a sizable company which will open doors not readily available for a start-up.

3. They will be allowed, yes. Everything you mentioned is legal to depict in the U.S., which is what will be determining what is and is not allowed. We're incorporated in Illinois, to be specific.

4. Paypal is extremely hostile to adult content creators, we're not working with them. It took Patreon several years to get Paypal on board, and we don't know what kind of concessions they had to make to do it. At the very least we'd need to be a multi-million dollar company for Paypal to even consider working with us without demanding content restrictions.

Please feel free to email us any other questions you may have!

Best Wishes,

The Sponsorion Team

They are expecting to be able to launch this spring. There is a lot of work that goes into creating a site that can support an audience and follows all the laws regarding the content. They have got a payment provider and a plan. They seem to be doing what is necessary to start up. Now they just need to launch and attract an audience.

For alternative to exists it requires whole community move out of patreon. It might take many years. I suspect it's possible only if some decent game will be created on such site to bring attention. In my opinion we're at the point in which there is Patreon or nothing as no one is gonna risk their money. We already had times when there was no platform and Patreon hunt doesn't mean those times won't return.

Has anyone tried OnlyFans. It's popular with camwhores and it seems to not care too much about content. It requires a picture ID for creators though.

Dual Family accound has been suspended once again. It seems like Gumdrop can change his game so not everything is lost but it's quite a problem for him. In a long run I can't see it to be honest

The response from the Sponsorion team seems hopeful, I will definitely be keeping a lookout for them this spring. It seems as though they have a good idea of the different avenues to look into.

I haven't read the full thread but I mostly guess its negative comments over Patreon rules regarding adult content and specifically incest.

don't think I commented on this thread before hand, apologize if I have, can't remember every post I made on here.

Anyway, am actually one who stands up and applauds Patreon for the rule change, I really don't understand why there is such confusion or anger towards Patreon on this.

Incest is and always been frowned upon, why is it such a surprise that games with it would be removed once Patreon discovered them?

From a developers stand point, Patreon is actually doing them a favor. Making games without incest is actually going reach a much larger player market, as "you" may be OK with incest but there will always be more people that won't even try a game that promotes it has incest.

Therefore a developers potential market would be much larger without incest in the game, that is just the simple truth.

why is that so hard for people to understand?

Exactly! There were so many creators releasing games with the same story and type of game. Maybe this will make them branch out and try making new games with new ideas. No major company would want to have taboo content on their site as it leads to bad publicity.

Ooops, Patreon agents have discovered F95. Two "Patreon is cool, devs are pervs" messages in a row.

Big brother was making 25 thousand dollars a month. Summertime Saga is making 25 thousand dollars a month. Know what both those games have in common? Incest. Incest does sell to a very large audience. Just you not liking it doesn't mean no one does. Its a taboo, therefore its inherently sexier than a story about a random guy and girl in a relationship.

And by the way, you should never applaud censorship. Because if they can censor incest, they can censor all porn. And its just a matter of time. They made a fellow dev take down his game because his petite character looked to young to them. Doesn't matter that the porn industry has plenty of petite 20 somethings posing as teens so that they can market the Teen demographic as long as possible.

OnlyFans is for picture/video content, hence why it is popular with camwhores, and why they require a photo ID to create an account. I somehow doubt they'd know how to deal with game development content, or written material. They're basically facebook for people wanting to share nude pics of themselves.

Well, for one, they're yanking the rug out from under the feet of some people who depended on Patreon for their income.

Two, there are a lot of people who like those games and creators, so there's a lot of hate for anyone who harms either of those.

Three, if numerous games were fine making money on Patreon for years, why go after them now? No laws have changed.

Four, a lot of people see this as completely pointless censorship and/or puritanism.

Incest is and always been frowned upon, why is it such a surprise that games with it would be removed once Patreon discovered them?
No, stories about incest haven't always been frowned upon. Hell, even the Bible has getting him drunk and having sex with him until they're pregnant.

Furthermore, stories of incest are fairly popular. The third through sixth were "milf", "step mom", "step sister", and "mom", in that order. Incest and near-incest is quite popular.

From a developers stand point, Patreon is actually doing them a favor.
No, depriving people of their income, and depriving many people of the content they want is not doing anyone a favor.

Making games without incest is actually going reach a much larger player market, as "you" may be OK with incest but there will always be more people that won't even try a game that promotes it has incest.

Therefore a developers potential market would be much larger without incest in the game, that is just the simple truth.

I don't think you understand how markets work. If the market is saturated with one kind of content, producing a different kind of content which is under-supported is actually a great way to make a profit. If you want to make money selling water, for example, you don't sell water in a place with plentiful and cheap supplies of water, you sell it in a desert. The incest market has a high demand and a low supply, meaning you're doing them the opposite of a favor by trying to get them out of that market.

Also, some games can't be changed to not have incest, as that's part of the premise of the game. This means throwing months or years of work down the drain to write vanilla stories in an over-saturated market, hoping to do as well as you were doing before. That's pretty unlikely.

Furthermore, some people aren't interested writing for that larger market, they want to write what they like. Why should they be punished for that?

You may not like fictional incest yourself, but you shouldn't be happy that those who do like it are being deprived of it for no particularly good reason. It's not like the content was harming anyone.

Honestly, I have to ask why you'd "applaud" an act that takes away the things other people like for no good reason, harming the creators and patrons alike in the process? It smacks of a lack of empathy, at the very least.

Well, 25k per month is a silly number for a real developer so that's not really a point. Our market is nothing we can be proud of. Incest doesn't sell to a mainstream audience at all but it sells well (as many other tabbos) to a sexually frustrated perverts on the internet and that's enough to go for it. Everything else is true. I can't stand incest for various reasons but banning it won't do anything good for anyone. More vanilla stories won't bring that much of a mainstream attention as mainstream rarely go for anything more than typical porn. Other fetishes might be banned as well for similiar reasons and nothing good will come out of it. Japanese market is the only real, huge market on this planet and even tho it has its fair share of vanilla titles, heavy fetishes (especially rape and loli) are strongly present.

I disagree. It wasn't tolarated by almost every culture and religion since the beginning of our race. Except for some cultural popularity amongst nobility at some point it wasn't really popular at any time. You just used depiction of sin as an argument that incest was ok in Bible.
People like what they like and we all have our fair share of weird fetishes. Incest ban is undestandable but it's nothing good for us, even if we don't like it.

Funny, because over the last decade we've seen a huge jump in the production of incest related roleplay content in mainstream porn. Funny, because the most popular show on television features not one, not two, not 3, but dozens and dozens more sexual relationships between family members. If anything, you're the one who's not mainstream anymore.

to a sexually frustrated perverts on the internet
I don't know if you meant to say it that way, but seriously, find a better way to write, because this is nothing short of insulting.

So, would that mean Patreon is encouraging pregnancy?
The pills in this context were date rape drugs...
