Progress Update / Poll
Our next update will fix a few small / cosmetic issues (like incorrect instructions in the hints) but will mainly focus on adding at least two new training sex scenes. We have enough content in art assets to 'finish' the training progression of at least one or two girls between now and February. ("Finish" includes acts through vaginal, does not include oral or anal - the highest resistances)
So, given that the next release (soon) and the release after (Jan/Feb) are aimed primarily at training content, I'd like to know what our players are most interested in.
There are literally at least 50 new features in our development queue, but some are more interesting than others and we'd like to get your input on them. So here are a few options / questions:
- RenPy does not allow the loading of an old save file when the underlying data structures change. This means a new save file for every version with updated data structures. Most RenPy games don't have this problem because their data structures are very minimal. Ours is quite significant. This means a new playthrough for each new version. One thing we could do is write a completely custom save importer, but this is a shit-ton of work and it would delay the content releases of the game. How important is this to you?
- We are planning on adding a cheat menu. How important is this to you?
- Girls will not perform anal or oral until after you unlock their loyalty quests. Each girl has three levels of loyalty. How important is it to you to see anal and oral content for each girl - should it be right away or are you willing to wait?
- Parties and festivals are kinda-sorta designed and implemented. How important are orgies and socializing to you?
- Combat is ready to integrate. Do you care? Does it interest you to have night encounters to solve quests - which might expose you to a risk of combat?
- How important is it to you to explore the 'dark' path of the criminal underworld with Zenobarbus?
- How important to you is seducing Charis and cuckolding or murdering her husband?
We have a lot of art and content in the "80% done" bucket, but we really want to know where to expend our energies to make our players happy. The more you can provide useful feedback to us, the more we can understand where to go next.
- Custom save importer: seams luxury to me, when there is so much more you could work on atm.
(like more Quests, more in game help about the in game mechanics, stuff like you mentioned about the Client sanctification.
- Cheats: kinda ruin games for me, because without struggle there is no worth in it, i have no real problem with starting all over as long the updates contain enough new content, to start all over for small patches makes not much sense to me.
-Girls new content: for me there is kinda an inflation risk. If all Girls could do the same, they lose a lot unique features,
i think each slave should work like a specialist, lets say you can only train one skill to the max, and with that earn the most currency. If every girl can do everything the same good, that`s kinda ruin the RP aspect for me.
The loyalty levels are great idea, and i did the "free the Brother Quests" even if it took quite a while, it brings the most Joy, to unlock new skills this way, because you build up a connection to the slave. This makes the game great into my Eyes.
So ofc. i can wait for this because the Role Play aspect and in game dept profits a lot from this.
This should be the real "Main Quest line" besides what the MC achieves in good old Rom.
-Parties and festivals: super cool for RP aspects and kinda unique selling points, because i never saw stuff like this in other games i see here huge potential. They could bring new side quests f.e. So really looking forward to it, i would like to see a deeper socializing structure, maybe characters could have 3 Quest and you get access to the first after basic socializing, then after an orgy you learn more about the real nature of the client what open up some nice or evil side quests, decision making...
-Combat: i like this RP wise a lot, how about you could train 1 slave to lure AI Characters you meet after socializing into the bushes to either attack them and rob them or to earn some currency.
The normal "action combat system" is not really interesting for me without any form of RP in it. Because many many games have that and most only that. It`s getting repetitive and boring quite fast into my Eyes at least without any sort of extra content.
-Dark Path: like i said RP aspects are really charming and captivating for me so i would love to have a "good" or "bad" Option, if this comes with a Zeno Sidequest line, ya that sounds great, players would have the feeling of more personal individuality.
But this sounds kinda costly time-wise.
-Charis: this could complete the circle Quest wise, you start innocent and get or get not corrupted story-wise in Rom, to do the same to your dear sister in the End. But ya i can wait for that. It should be the Endgame Content into my Eyes and only available after you complete the "Dark Path" with Zeno, what should be only available if you treat the slaves bad as well^^
So ya consequences can be the spice in game but atm, i feel like the Game needs a bit more polish on "how to get started".
Should i earn money with court cases, should i level my trading skills? or just pimp my girls at the brothel? what about the farms? all this could be connected more or less with the "dark" or "bright" path of the Game, but atm, most of those features don`t work. So what i am trying to say is, atm you do all those things because you think it`s for the money, so one looks the same like the other...but there should be more to it. For that you would need more clarity in the game i think.
