Ease of communication, time zone difference, the level of talent (the good ones command much higher salary) all factor into that bargain labor cost.

Maybe partially, but if general cost of living is lower in a certain country, then a "good" salary is also lower.
Earning $1000 / month in New York City probably means living under a bridge, but in Ethiopia you would be living like a king, with a mansion and servants. Meaning that for $1000 you should actually be able to get really good people in Ethiopia. Of course the tricky thing is to find them...

I agree that micro transactions can make a shit ton of money, the concern I have is the long term impact it can have on the fan base. Mobile will be a big part of my plan but unsure at this time if micro transactions will be the route I take.

I can attest to this. The mediocre porn games on nutaku makes an absurd amount of money that patreon cannot even compare. I play this game called Cunt Wars (which actually has really good gameplay lol) and the whales spend an obscene amount of money every month.

Porn game + micro transactions = $$$$$

I'm guilty of putting at least two hundred dollars into King of Wasteland, and a few bucks into some other games. I probably would never voluntarily give two hundred dollars to anyone through patron, but when it's disguised as small transaction with instant gratification and rewards...

Many, many people have the same issue, that is exactly what the developers are banking on. Do you feel that it leaves a bad taste in your mouth afterwards though and if so does it overtime become enough of an issue to make you stop playing (i.e. spending money) on the game.

Not at all. I'm not so clueless that I'm mad about it. At the time, it afforded me to have a really fun time in the game and overall I had a really positive experience. That sort of game just has a short lifespan for keeping interest. From a business standpoint though, whether I play the game for a day or a year, the fact I put 200 into the game means the developer has got like 500% what they probably projected me to pay.

The only way this model affected how I saw the game, is it did lead to some negative experiences with other people paying twice the amount I was, therefore were progressing much quicker then me. This is because of their model though, and the fact that it's a MMO game. To be honest though, the game is just a regular mafia game that has porn in it and mafia games are pretty popular for this.

You bring up another good point, a game can have micro transactions that an image change (i.e change of outfit), or a game can have a micro transaction that gives the buyer an actual in game advantage over the other players. I feel that the buying of an advantage is that part that causes the most complaints. Maybe allowing micro transactions that do not give an advantage is the solution?. Not sure, just thinking...
